Very likeable and seemingly all round good egg. He had a unique take on bond and came across as a gentleman. 89 is a good batting average. A good life well lived.

So gutted, people are being very careful around me at work as they know my feelings on Sir Rog.

I shall throw on Moonraker tonight, as that is the movie that made me a fan of himself, and of Bond.

    Wow.
I´m usually pretty impartial to the passing of a person I haven´t met personally.
But this news makes me want to cry.

R.I.P. Sir Rog. The world is a darker place without you.

I have always joked that playing James Bond is a guarantee of eternal life. Somehow I thought Sir Roger would get close to the ton.

As with others, struggling to find the right words but, if you wanted someone who personified all of the best things about our country, then surely Sir Roger Moore is a great example. Confident but self effacing, classy but not a snob, tallented but modest....just a national treasure. You think these wonderful people will be around forever...and then they are gone.
