My top ten only, although I can assure you that Casino Royale '06 is at the bottom of my list, that's for sure. The rest I have yet to really sort out, I need to rewatch them. Actually, I need to rewatch some of my top ten as well.

    1. Thunderball
    2. Diamonds Are Forever
    3. From Russia With Love
    4. License to Kill
    5. Dr. No
    6. The Living Daylights
    7. Goldfinger
    8. On Her Majesty's Secret Service
    9. The Man with the Golden Gun
    10. For Your Eyes Only

I really should write a review of it and explain my points, so it doesn't look like I'm bashing it for no reason. I do have reasons, it's not to get a rise out of people, or to "be different from the pack" or something. I consider it to be an pretty awful film generally, even outside of Bond.

I know it says "no details" but I need to say that I would rather watch any of these films rather than MANY other films. So just because one of your favorites is near the bottom, that does not mean I do not enjoy them as well :)

@bondbat007: Well stated! I feel this way as well. Although OHMSS is my least favorite Bond movie, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it. It just means I think that the other 21 are better. By the way, it's just a coincidence that my least favorite is your favorite! I had no idea until I looked at your post half-way through my post. I just didn't want you to think that I was railing on you for liking OHMSS!

Well that's the best thing about Bond fans isn't it? Such different opinions but we can all agree on many things as well!

    That's very true indeed!
  • I'm actually in the process of watching The Spy Who Loved Me, although I need a Linda Blair type head as the screen is right behind me and it's mostly listening in without turning around but by god, for all of Moore's berating there are times here that the man actually seems tangible as the Bond character, a minimum on future nonsense and mostly playing it straight (Bach and Moore on train before Jaws appears by the way), this is one of my favorite of Moore's adventures. Point being we can say oh, that Bond (actor) was awful and I didn't like it but we can always find redeeming qualities. Even with Dalton as a personal favorite it wasn't all one way traffic with Tim and there were one or two things that I took issue with but there you are. Here comes Q with the submarine car etc, Moore just takes him for granted sometimes, Dalton was much more appreciative I found

  • one thing about Bond is it's always pleasing to see such a variation of peoples favorites, some interesting choices indeed, but one thing that remains constant is that Goldfinger for many is some way down the list (quite right and all), not even in a majority of participants Top 10 of the series even. It's considered the neutrals best of the lot apparently but that simply isn't the case. Can't quite remember what I put from here but I see no reason to change it

Indeed, Goldfinger is two steps from the bottom, saved only by DAD and OHMSS, which are definitely the ones I'd pick last to watch on a Friday night.

I'm very surprised at this. GF might not be perfect, but it's still a good Bond film. Same goes for OHMSS as well. It boggles the mind that you could consider films like Moonraker and The World Is Not Enough superior Bond films to Goldfinger and OHMSS.

Goldfinger and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are two that absolutely bore me to death. While I still enjoy any Bond movie more than any other movie out there, these two are the ones I don't enjoy watching as much as the others. As for TWINE, I really do like it. It has Pierce Brosnan, two great villains, good action, a complex plot, good music, and real style. As for MR, it is in my "could have been better list" along with DAD, GF, and OHMSS. It's just how the rankings work out, my friend.

@Arsenal02071: I like all the Bond movies, no matter if #1 or #22, it's just that I prefer some more than others. However, I see what you're saying and am in no way trying to criticize. By the way, we seem to think alike on Top Ten! FRWL, TB, FYEO, TSWLM, CR, and GE are all in my Top Ten! Strangly enough, our least favorites are similiar, like MR, YOLT, and OHMSS.
  • @00Beast I actually do not like some of the Bond films. They would be ok by themselves but they are being compared to other Bond films which probably makes me look at them differently than if they were their own movie. And yes, our lists are very similar :D

No I didn't need to make a video but I did one a few weeks ago just because I enjoy making these kind of rankings and I felt: why not put it here aswell? So I did it just for fun sake and that I had a few unoccupied hours :D
