This is DC at his best...what a debut !!!

Every time I watch it I realize just how bloody good he is in it!

So natural, arrogant and self assured as 007. You'd have thought he'd been playing the part for years.

Personally i think its the best Bond debut of the lot, including Connery...he had hell of a tough film to act in,he had idiots on his back with 'Craig is not Bond etc' ,an iconic book in CR that everyone wanted to see in the REAL Bond cannon....and he just nailed it...a great talent, one hell of an actor..and he not only did well in CR ,he makes it most Bond fan's top 3 !!

Nah ,i presume its on BT Sport Jason? ...i dont watch that crap.

The problem with CR is,whenever i watch it ,i feel the need to pop QOS in again...and i only watched that last week !!

Anyway,Steven Obamo is dead ,time for the next hand of cards inside Casino Royale...im loving this,a real treat...

As great as the crane fight is, the Miami airport sequence is my personal favourite.

I know many people say it's a rip off of Raiders of the Lost Ark but a). I've never thought that while watching it and b). I think it's even better.

The final moments when the bastard blows himself up is great. I love how Craig doesn't even blink.
I love the sadistic little smile Bond gives when Carlos goes BOOM.

    Totally forgot about the clocks!

Finished THE PINK PANTHER, not that this thread is interested in knowing, but just saying.

As CR is one of three films left in my Bondathon I'll watch it shortly. And probably QOS as well...it's the easiest watch anyway after DAF.

Both films are quite stupid but oh so much fun...

QOS has become soooo watchable....with the clock change i should make SF,and SP is easy to watch....my only enemy is getting too pissed....but i cant drink much tomorrow as my dad is over n im doing a roast chicken dinner wz all the trimmings,so i will make up for it tonight ...!!..my DC Bondathon is doing well..Bond is on the bike as we speak !

I like the way Bond finds out Greene's name from two different conversations with Camille

I still find Mathis being dumped in the bin once he is dead,a bit weird, and Bond's non emotion.

Onto SF ...back to the feel of a real Bond film...

There is no doubt that SF rivals CR .....the 2 theme songs prove it...Adele's is brilliant...ilove this film

Lazenby bedded more girls in one movie than any other Bond has done.

Now, I was thinking the James Bond theme feels out of place in the raid sequence. Maybe because Hunt uses the old rendition of the theme and Barry's themes for OHMSS have different sound to them.

Actually the whole movie could have done it without the James Bond theme. The movie doesn't need it. But I guess the makers of this film thought, at the time, they should remind audiences they were watching Bond.

    which film r u watching Shark ?

On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Might watch DAF after I'm done with this. Now I kind of want to see it. OHMSS is good, but Lazenby is no Connery. I'm also in a mood for some early camp, before I switch over the Moore era.

Makes sense..........DAF is a great Saturday night flick...i might do the same after SF actually |!

If you've ever seen 24 that scene always reminds me of a moment at the end of season #4. I keep expecting Craig to go "DAMMIT!!" when Patrice falls.

Also, Tower Bridge doubling as the Shanghai office entrance. Remember watching SF again a few days after i'd been at that location and being like "what the hell" :p

Even after seeing OHMSS many times, Tracy's death, the whole scene is very sad and touching one. Well played Lazenby, well played.

To give him his due, he sells it very well. It doesn't seem mannered.
