    No, it doesn't upset me at all. In fact I never thought about that. It just came up because of the other topic of the actors being believably hurt in the films.

    I never had any plot problems with CR...or QOS. Both are fun to watch, don't take themselves too seriously and any plot holes are not that much in the forefront. In fact I never had any problems with any of the films in that regard until SF came along.

    The operation had essentially ended. Out of all of the inconsistencies in this series of films, that is what upsets you?

    Thank you.

    There is only one Bond actor that got believably hurt and where it looked real.

    I'll have to agree with that. LTK marked the first time, really since Connery in DR NO where we got to see Bond banged up quite a bit. Dalton really sells the moment.
    I have to say I think his build helps when comparing to Craig in CR. Certainly Craig is just as banged up at the airport as Tim is here, but Tim's athletic jogger's physique was probably more in line with Fleming's Bond as opposed to the weight-lifting Craig. Craig, especially when busting thru that wall like The Hulk looks a bit indestructible. Dalton looks a bit more human.

    In CASINO ROYALE he was not believably hurt tied to that chair?

    @ToTheRight

    Thank you. You described it perfectly where I couldn't. It's Craig superhuman status that hinders him from being totally believable, maybe the said stairway scene is the sole exception.

    I'd say that is blood running from his mouth and his hairdo is quite a bit disturbed after the fight.

    Love this scene because it's one of the few where Sir Rog gets messed up a bit, including a few strands of hair in the wrong place.

    Also, he gets his arm cut up in LALD, and raked over corral in FYEO.
    Good catch, and those are both notable as well.

    That fight in TMWTGG is like the fights Roger had on The Saint. He hair is all over the place on The Saint in those sequences. His punches have more force and he gets knocked around a bit. In one episode he's tied up and burns his hands with a cigarette lighter trying to escape. A Fleming type situation indeed.

    The way Craig, Dalton actually got "hurt" just clinches it for me. The beating he took in CR and SP...the heartache he suffers in CR as well...And Laz losing his bride and his being at the end of his rope trapped at the ice skate rink with Bunt and her men closing in...Connery's being on his knees in front of the menacing Grant ...
    these were most realistic moments for Bond

    A problem I have with Moore is he never gets dirty, never a hair out of place, he just straightens his tie knot and gives the camera that "tongue in cheek" eyebrow raise...and And like Brosnan, he always seemed "shaken but not stirred."

    But how realistic a Bond character is does not mainly depend on the amount of blood that is seen on the screen but whether he faces physical limitations at all. This is why I have problems with Craig since he is just too strong and too fast. I often have the feeling that all the villains are no match for him since he is always faster and stronger. And at some point in the films I think he is more like Jaws, a character that cannot die even a freefall of more than 100 meters and some of his action scenes are just superhuman...
