For those budding shutter snappers like myself to vent off their latest triumphal shot and for some advice on anything camera related or just some photos of your last holiday or bond locale, this is the thread for you. I'll get the party started.

Those are some great shots. I really like the tone and the color temperature.

You're very talented. They could use you for cinematography in the Bond films!

Hi DartgBork, the reason I dislike the headless girl, is that it just looks like a picture of someones ex with their dog, loves the dog but now hates the girl, so decapitates her.

Well here are two of my newest entries. The first is from an impromptu portrait session. The rest of the photos were shot on slide film so I actually have to get them developed before I can put them up here.

This second image was just a test with my new lens (Canon 135mm f/2 if anyone is wondering). I played with it in Photoshop and made it into a wallpaper.

    Enjoy!

My latest snaps, have to admit posting images on here is rather ugly so I'll link them:

    [super cool]
    [series of unfortunate events]
    [window gazing]
    [binned]

@DarkBork - I never got a chance to read that PM. Which anamorphic adapter do you have? I just purchased one and a Helios 44-2. I'm super excited to start playing!

    Fantastic photos, BTW.

Thought I'd bump this old thread and breath new light into it. Lately I've been into Toy Photography. Lately I've been collecting Jakks Pacific's World of Nintendo action figures and been putting them to fun uses. Here's one I took recently.

    bhbNcg5h.jpg
Star Fox's very own Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi and Slippy Toad. (Peppy comes out in the next wave.) The ship is a rare Palisades Toys Muppet's Pigs in Space diorama playset. it's one of the coolest things I've had the pleasure of owning.

Next up just in time for Halloween is are the creepy possessed animatronic characters from the Five Night's at Freddy's game franchise. The backdrop is my own creation with various pieces of miniature furniture I've collected over the years.

A fun little Star Wars + Mario Bros crossover.

Wario and Waluigi robbing a local bank.

Mario and Luigi having dinner. :))
    LMcpvPnl.jpg

    Holy leg lamp Batman!
    pDDcs6Xl.jpg

    Super Mario Galaxy!

And lastly for now the USS Enterprise using A Diamond Select Toys Original Series Enterprise.

Any tips for a beginner? I have a Canon EOS 700D DSLR camera and, while I've taken a few snaps, I'm really struggling on how to get the best out of it. If anyone can point in the right direction, or give me tips on aperture (?) and other things I'd be very grateful.

I guess it really depends on what you would like to photograph. I like to photograph miniatures and various toys I own and create a story with them. Let your imagination guide what you wish to photograph. :)

You've got some cool stuff there! You could make some cool comics out of just taking shots of the sets and characters in certain formations and adding speech bubbles to tell the story (though I'm sure you've done this already).

Now that you mention it Brady, I have indeed made a few comic strips with my figures before and I will warn you, The humor contained in two of them are rather low brow. :))

Due to the size of each comic, I will put it in spoiler tags.

Thanks @Shark_0f_Largo. :) As for your recent post as well, You just have to go out and explore a little bit and just be spontaneous. For me, My projects are never planned, I just get an idea in my head and go with the flow. Landscape is a good place to start as well. Look for something that engages an emotional response and photograph it.
