Just posting some newer photos of my two Bond pieces. I used to have the Brosnan Seamaster, but sold it a few years back.

Very nice @bondjames. Which of the 2 gets the most wrist time?

Thanks @doubleoego. It's actually 50/50, or rather 33/33/33 as I wear them equally on rotation with the Hour Vision during the week.

The Rolex gets a little more wrist time only because I tend to wear it more on the weekends when I'm not in a suit as I think it pops better with short sleeves.

I've purchased my first Seamaster, but the pre-Bond seamaster (pre 1993):

    SpwdBok.jpg

Really loving this watch. Has that Seamaster look, but it's a lot different. Wish Bond would have worn this honestly, think it suits him a bit better. Though perhaps without the gold accents.

@bondjames Very nice watches. Can't go wrong with either of those.

Thanks @dominicgreene and that's an excellent choice for your first Seamaster.

I really like that one, and had a midsize version (all silver) many years ago. I regret selling it.

It has a clean dial and is a super combination of the traditional Omega look (including Planet Ocean style wrist hugging curved links) with the simplicity of the Submariner (and it even sports the Sub's 'Mercedes' hour hand).

I hope it gives you many years of enjoyment.

Thank you very much. :) I'm surprised you've owned one. This is actually the midsize which I've grown to the size, wouldn't have it any other way now. Mind telling me the story of yours? Which other watches have you gone through?

Well, this is a story of passion and a lot of 'wrong turns', as is the case with most watch aficionados I would think.
    --

The pre-Bond Seamaster was actually my first fancy watch as well. I bought it while on work in NYC and had it for just over a year.

I got excited by the newer version worn by Brosnan and so sold this to a friend of mine and bought the mid size (36mm) automatic version of the Bond watch while in California on holiday. I actually preferred many aspects of the pre-Bond version because it is more of a tool watch, while the Bond one is more dressy (with polished bits in the links).

As the 'big watch' craze took off, I realized that my Bond Seamaster was looking small, and so I sold it and bought a Railmaster 39mm. I loved that watch (it's so understated and classic and is only appreciating in value) but realized I just can't live with a watch without a date, and so sold that as well (I regret that sale also) and bought a Planet Ocean 42mm.

The P.O. is a serious watch. Heavy and chunky on the wrist. I really liked the version I had (2500D movement which is thinner) but realized that ultimately I wanted a Submariner (the holy grail for me due to the early Bond connection). So I sold that and used the proceeds to fund the Rolex (used) this year.

Last year I also came across an opportunity to purchase a used 'Hour Vision' at a great price, and so jumped at it, even though it wasn't on my list. I also always wanted a 'Skyfall Aqua Terra' and so ended up buying one of the last ones that was available at an Omega dealer earlier this year.

In between, I've owned various Longines (the Legend Diver - which is a stunning watch and really well priced), a Tag Heuer Monza (another classic with the 'cushion case) and another Omega Seamaster (model 2254, which is a cross between the 'Brosnan Bond' and a Sub). I've sold them all.

So at the moment I have the Hour Vision, the Submariner and the Aqua Terra. I don't think I'll ever sell these, but who knows? A Cartier Tank would be a nice dress watch to have (due to the square case).

Anyone know where to find good replicas? For Omega or seamaster?
Saw a post on the first page of this thread saying they are around $20-$30

So I sold my seamaster 300 master coaxial exactly one week ago today....

....and I bought the new planet ocean master chronometer I mentioned in previous posts.

Pics will come shortly once I return home.

I honestly wouldn't go there, there is no such thing as a good replica, from the few I've seen they are badly made, look wrong and probably won't last. My advice would be to save up and buy a used watch. I've seen full size omega smp go for as little as £400 pounds in blue, just last week a 2015 omega aqua terra went for £900 on eBay UK, seriously these watches can last a lifetime a fake what 6 months?

Outstanding @doubleoego. That looks very much like the limited edition LM2500 from a few years back. Is the face ceramic as well? What size is that? I know they have a 39mm out as well now.

Yeah it's ceramic and liquid metal. This is the 43.5mm.

The 39.5mm looked a little too condensed and loses a bit of the magic that POs have which just didn't look all that right to me. Hiwever, the 43.5 is a great size. It's not ridiculously huge but it still retains the presence a PO should have. I'm looking at it now and it's just so stunning; shiny and glossy without being conspicuously blingy (if that makes sense).

I have to go and check that model out in the store. I'm pretty sure it will be too large for me but nevertheless, it's such a stunner that I feel compelled to at least give it a try on.

@CASINOROYALE, it's a bit disappointing in my view (to say the least) but as you say, for $15 to $20 what can you expect.

Steinhart makes a decent diver that looks very much like the Sub if you want something a little more impressive.

It looks good to me but maybe it's just because I would kinda have it for my Bond collection not to wear..

Definitely try it on. It really is a beautiful watch that really pops. I've seen pictures of others who own this watch and although they look amazing, it's nothing compared to what the actual piece looks like in the flesh.

Really love the PO, not sure if I could pull it off, but I love the fact it works in a variety of situations; it's the perfect watch to wear if you were smoking a cigar on a beach, if that makes sense.

Currently really liking my skx009. I've dabbled around in the higher end, but ended up selling all of them because they seemed like filler for a grail piece. I also don't have a serious career yet so I can't afford the big boy items. I think I'm more of a Speedmaster guy myself, if I were to spend that money on an Omega.

I wonder what kind of dress watch Craig's Bond would wear.

Well he wore a vintage Omega at the end of SP but I'm not sure on the exact model.

I think Connery wore a Deville in parts of FRWL, & a Gruen in bits of Dr No. Moore wore a Datejust in AVTAK. That's as dressy as Bond's been.

Not sure what Craig's Bond would wear if given an option for a dressy watch. A Deville would be the obvious choice, given it's Omega's flagship. Perhaps a Tresor.

Nice. My compliments. Some of the older pieces are really well styled and more reasonably priced than the newer ones too.

I have the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m that Daniel Craig wore in Casino Royale. Most recently, I bought the blue dial Aqua Terra that was worn in Spectre. He wore the Aqua Terra before he was given the exploding Seamaster 300 watch by Q. Wore it again later on upon returning to London after his Seamaster 300 exploded at Blofeld's lair...lol.. So I have two Bond watches. Both beautiful watches imo...

Dragging the tone down with this offering. Yours in the late '90s for a lot of tokens from Golden Wonder crisp packets + P&P; stopped working after about a week.

It's pretty chunky, though - I could probably knock someone out with it if I needed to.

Hmm...ebay USA seems to be out of these right now. Shame. A Bond watch I could actually afford.
