Really 4-6 are a lot closer to the other good ones that the top 3 masterpieces.

But the gap between #6 and #7 is pretty big. I also look at the number of times a Bond film gets points, as opposed to getting some outlier '12's, 10's and 8's. Having said that, I consider the TOP 6 the 'masterpiece society' when it comes to Bond films. It's the elite club.

By the way, I am stunned about the intense dislike of non-EON film NSNA. If you like it or not, it's a Bond film, in which Connery plays Bond a 7th time. And looking at the acting performances of Klaus-Maria Brandauer and Barbara Carrera the film doesn't deserve a treatment like this.

@Gustav_Graves , you may want to go back and count again. Out of curiosity to see how my favorite was doing, GF, I went back to the beginning and started to total it's score. After the fourth page my number didn't coincide with any of the totals you showed in your tallies. By the end it was way off. I've done it twice. Maybe there were doubles entries that you caught and I didn't, or some other such thing, but I'm just making you aware.

There were like four instances of people who wanted to vote and couldn't get access in here to post it. I have them included as well. There was one instance of a forummember who posted the results from some of his/her friends for instance. Also, my parents want to vote as well, but they are not able to log in, due to some problems (I have informed @Samuel001 about that already).

I suggest you let me do the counting, and don't dig in too deep in the total tallies just yet. I have my Excel grid in front of me. I am mildly autistic, so that means perfectionism from my side times 100 :-). For the sake of other people who are thinking of voting, let's not try to strategically influence the voting by hoping your favorite gets more votes. And even if that's not the case, people do read your message and could be influenced.

Lastly, after 79 voters, it becomes more and more impossible in the TOP 10 to rise a few spots, if there's a huge points gap of let's say 40 to 300 points. It's what it is :-).

Be patient for the end results ;-). In any case, thank you for being so into the details. It keeps me sharp as well.

Perhaps if you are including other people's scores you can type them in here for them so we can all see their top 10s.

Can we all include family/friend's scores? I know at least one Bond fan who would like to vote here.

It makes sense to just include the votes of forum members in the poll?

We don't want a situation where these people are casting votes ;))

    Stunned? Why?

By specifying we choose a top 10 you are pretty much condemning NSNA to get a tiny amount of votes. This does not prove intense dislike on the part of majority of Bond fans. It just proves that NSNA isn't top 10 material, which I could have told you before the vote started.

I agree with you that Sean, KMB and Barbara Carrera all make NSNA a decent enough watch, although it is substandard to 99% of EON's output in every other department. Has a few good one liners though. I certainly don't hate but it's never getting near the top 10. Or indeed the top 20.

Quite. Why not just open it out to the general public and then GF will win?
  • Including votes beyond the forum makes the poll null and void, in a public vote Goldfinger would win for sure with Skyfail a close second.

I run a similar poll last year, October 2015, with similar voting procedures on IMDB last year. And I can assure you.....Goldfinger did not manage to win top spot. Far from it:

So please guys? Can we please stop the presumptions? Voting is going well, the topic is popular, and the poll is therefore NOT 'null' or 'void'.

I was referring more to the nation wide voting in England, Goldfinger over the decades often finishes top.

Okay, but that does tell you something no? 'Nation wide' poll? As opposed to frantic movie nerds (IMDB) and Bond nerds (in here)? I know which people have slightly more knowledge about movies. Perhaps, in the nation wide poll there was a bit of 'Brexit' slipping into the vote :-P.

I disagree it defeats the purpose of having a forum poll if external votes are included, the poll will no longer accurately reflect the members opinions.

Nonsense. Those four people who are not forum members, are looking heavily within this topic. I can assure you that. Moreover, it's still a game and perhaps you take it too seriously, all for the sake of your beloved "Goldfinger". The fact that you make a distinction between the expertise of external voters -only about four!- and forummembers is quite ridiculous.

I know that I brought up "NSNA", but I'm was not trying to use to question people's voting preferences or knowledge. I was just surprised with the absence of any points for it so far.

Dear @fire_and_ice? Please stop your suspicions now, or it will sooner or later derail the topic and then I'm off here.

I don t doubt that. But there are people on this forum who would do just that, and who is to say who can be trusted and who can t? It s no big deal, by all means.

So if I meet some bloke on the bus later and ask him for his top 10 Bond films I can post that up here as a valid list?

Aye. I've got a passel of "cousins" who are just aching for me to post their Top 10s.
