Just about watchable but it suffers from the same problem as Bourne. But it has grown on me in recent years so maybe there's hope for Supremacy and Ultimatum.

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you will give them another chance sometime, because they are great films imho, particularly the 2nd one.

I'm a fairly serious film fan, but there are some large gaps in my knowledge. The biggest film I haven't got round to yet would probably be Fritz Lang's Metropolis - I'm a fan of his talkies but haven't delved into the silent era at all yet. I've also never seen a David Lynch film, and 8 1/2 is the only Fellini picture I've ever seen (it was on the big screen if that's any consolation). I'm also making my way through the work of Powell and Pressburger at the moment.

I haven't bothered with any of the Marvel stuff, but I don't really plan on getting round to it either.

I don't think the 'shaky cam' is that bad in those movies. Yeah it could be distracting in the cinema but home viewing it's barely noticeable.

The action in Ultimatum is superb.

Eraserhead is cinematic pretension at its best. Lynch is an absolute headache and/or snore for me to endure.

I don't think I've ever watched Raiders of the Lost Ark in it's entirety from start to finish. Always caught parts here and there but every time I watch it, I always notice a different part.

I challenge anyone to watch Inland Empire. Only 7 have made it out with their sanity. :-SS

Not a fan Lynch's later films myself. INLAND EMPIRE was pretty hard going as was Mulholland Drive which I found tedious.

But Blue Velvet is one of the greatest American films ever made imo....

Love Wild At Heart and Lost Highway as well.

OMG that mystery man in lost highway is one of the creepiest things ever. Spooks me every time.

Inland Empire is the Lynch masterpiece if you ask me. It reminds me strangely of Return of the King. Super long and slow, but rewarding in the end.

No I don't. There isn't a car chase in Raiders.

I presume you mean truck chase?

Oh do delve. not only Metropolis, but Spione (excellent) and Die Nibelungen (which is two films). Give 'em a go.

In my opinion most David Lynch's films are really good but I understand the complaints. I also like "the elephant man". It is one of my favourite films of all time, even though it is not a typical Lynch film.
