After all I've seen this will be another OHMSS and set a new standard for all future Bond movies!
Anything less would be a surprise.
  • you mean like OHMSS set the standard for all the Bonds to follow like DAF, LALD or TMWTGG??? Well, interesting thought...

As far as I hope and know (and I know everything ;-) ), this will more likely be a TB or TSWLM kind of standard setting

I mean SP is as good as OHMSS and this will be the reference film for the future.
    Not talking about the past.

I've also heard from a good source about this pre-screening, screening and the sentiment was that yes, it's everything you'd want and expect.

[-O< [-O< [-O< Dear God, please let this be true!

I hope the movie will be CRAP. I heard it got 2 stars out of 5!

  • haha bloody funny.
  • the only bad thing what could be said about spectre is the running time. I have no problem with it. I'm happy its the longest in the series, but it has to keep me intrigued and entertained throughout

Yeah my wife wasn't too happy with the running time since she'll be 30 weeks pregnant and will spend half the time back and forth to the bathroom

If the build up of the story is as cleverly done as in OHMSS I don't mind the running time.
But if there's another dead boring 30 minutes like in Skyfall after the PTS then it will hurt the movie!

That's interesting. I'm never bored watching SF. Except briefly when my go to that island, but that's because I think the villain is not good. Just to theatrical for my tastes, with no genuine character underneath. But after the helicopters show up its smooth sailing from there on.

Me too I watched CR & QOS at the weekend and thought maybe I might change my opinion on SF being my favourite Craig film but no, as much as I love CR SF still rules and it's never bored me.

If SP is like OHMSS quality (minus the score) then I'll be very happy, it's still my no. 1 and I think it will remain so, no composer will ever top that score in my lifetime.

SF won me over as a Mendes fan... I don't always agree with his choices and I feel more comfortable with Campbell but Mendes adds so much more dimension and art to the film that yes I am looking forward.

Having said that I'm ready for a change with B25. But for now I'm excited.

  • Do we know what time (BST) the press screening is tomorrow? Just wondering when we can expect to start seeing reviews.

As much as I find Skyfall a disappointment , I felt the opposite , the most boring part of the movie was the Subway chase which happens after that ,

his pose on the boat with Bernice was the most Bond like moment in the whole movie

I'd have to say it was when he was on the boat heading towards the Macau casino.

At 7:00 pm, so critics could start reviewing at 10:00 pm.

I agree the highlight of SF, apart from the pre-credits, was the scene on the island, the intro of Silva and Bond turning the tables on his captors was superb. This, for me was pure Bond territory. After that the film gets very 'meh!'. The train sequence and chase and the inquiry scene shootout were just ok, and wasn't crazy about the Home Alone meets Straw Dogs finale. Heres hoping SP has a more exciting finish (And everything else!)

I think the best scene in Skyfall is the Macao casino scene. Some great acting from Berenice Marlohe.

The other scene that stands out to me is Silva's introduction scene
  • I'll be seeing the film TONIGHT, so depending on what the embargo is, I'll be sure to post my opinions and answer some questions. Getting rather excited now!
