Only Naomie Harris and Dave Bautista will attend the Swiss Premiere.

Thanks a lot, means I am not going to visit my son, but there are better times to be there ;)

    PLOT TWIST!!

    Sam Smith IS Blofeld!

Turning 007's world upside down and creating irreconcilable divisions among those that care for him:

  • I remember when "Who Can You Trust", the title song for "Spy", forummembers easily wrote it of as a 'Bond clone', as something that sounds 'uninspiring' and 'dull'. But how do we look at this song now? After "Writing's On The Wall" premiered?

It sounds like a grammy winner now (comparatively speaking) to me, but it is still obvious pastiche, so I'm glad we didn't get something like this for SP. It would have led to negative comparisons to some of the more bombastic great songs of the past....I think that's why EON dumped Surrender to the end credits for TND (because it was too similar to some of the older tracks but inferior and somewhat parodic (at least to my ears). Even though Crowe's song can be criticized, it wasn't all that derivative

Surrender sounds like an end credits song ..sure it wasn't written for that purpose?

No, I believe Arnold wrote it for the main theme. MGM picked Crowe's track though after a competitive bidding process and Surrender was switched to the end credits. That's why we hear some of the Surrender theme in the score for the film. I'm not sure if politics were involved, but I'm glad they went with Crowe's track, because Surrender is too pastiche even though it sounds Bondian imho.

The final trailer has now been CONFIRMED to play in U.S. cinemas this week - with Lionsgate's Sicario, and in IMAX with The Walk.

Runs 1:15, online release presumably by Thursday evening.

Find it very interesting they keep using this poster a lot for the promotional. Honestly think in my opinion they could use something better to represent the film better artistically

I agree ..but just doesn't sound like a main title to me.

It's pretty obvious based on the trailer.. "You're protecting someone.."
    Boom Madeline swan appears..

Anyways watched a skyfall interview and the interviewer said "so you have two movies left after this one, what's next?" I posted this awhile back and everyone hounded me saying I should be banned for spoiling people...

This is the production blog. If you don't want to be spoiled by information that has ALREADY been released then don't come on here. Simple enough.
It's so annoying when people get mad about officially released information.

    Rant over lol

Yeah, @CASINOROYALE, that first thing in your post isn't obvious in any way whatsoever.

You must be 12 or stupid haha...

How is that not obvious ?
It was fairly obvious the "you're protecting someone" and then we instantly have bond and Madeline confronting each other and she has been kidnapped by hinx..

How is it not obvious that she is the person being protected ??

Why would they just randomly show a random girl then? There's no point in the mr white scene and THAT line and then immediately showing her.
    It's completely obvious.

You are aware that there are a good number of people on this very forum who are purposely avoiding official material, including the theatrical trailer and the recent synopsis, aren't you? People visit this thread to keep up to date with news and interesting tidbits about a forthcoming Bond movie. It's common courtesy to put major spoilers such as that in spoiler tags, regardless of whether or not it's been released officially.

In the 10 years that I have been here there have never been any issues in the production thread...

All I am saying is the bickering and arguments get really old.

If you don't want to see tv spots and trailers then that's completely fine.
I am not saying don't put spoilers in spoiler tags but when we get hounded for mentioning info in the trailer and people flip because it "spoiled it" that's just so annoying.

Those people need to be considerate of the 90% who actually watch the trailers.. Just saying.

There is a much higher percentage of people in this thread who view the trailers and production blogs.

The people who don't want to watch that is a very small number.

I would advise caution to coming into this thread, you will see interviews, clips, production blogs, pictures/stills, posters;etc all that can be viewed as spoilerfic to some. To come in here complaining because of someone using actual spoilers is one thing, to complain about a comment based on the trailer that's another....

I would suggest a non-spoiler production thread but I don't see how that can really be policed. Not everyone will be happy ..

The fact that you immediately reported me to a mod shows how immature you are. I am frustrated that I come to the production thread and every single time I see people complaining about being spoiled when in fact it is just common knowledge or officially released information. I will inform a mod of what is going on.

Sorry! But that information has beenon the official 007 page for months now.... have put in spoilers

Exactly - it's in the new official synopsis for the film.

It's a challenging time to be sure. I'm trying to avoid any and all plot information whatsoever until the film is released (haven't watched any teasers or trailers, certainly haven't read any leaks). My philosophy on the matter is this:

I read something accidentally that has been officially released by EON in some capacity (leas_mole's totally legitimate post, in this case) - Shame on Me.

I read something pertaining to the leaks posted by someone who's read them, and posted where they shouldn't be posting the information - Shame on Them.

    That's a good philosophy.

I agree, I understand that there have been issues regarding people posting leaked information, but people need to realize (particularly at this stage in the game) that it's going to be tough sledding if you're extremely spoiler sensitive and if you're going to be active on the Spectre forums, then you should expect that you're going to glean information about a plot point or two, even ones such as this one which was made public by the official synopsis. Those who want to go in completely blind should really consider staying out of the Spectre threads, at least for the time being.

Agree, it's just saying 'look he's wearing the same tux as Connery in Goldfinger and there's a voodoo looking guy in the background reminiscent of Live and Let Die, though there's nothing in the film like that' I want an old school Bond poster
