Does anyone own one of the Coronet editions with the Burgess preface and would care to photocopy or transcribe here for discussion?

I have been looking for it too, as Anthony Burgess is my favourite writer. I might take a look next time I go at the Anthony Burgess Foundation and see what can be done: http://www.anthonyburgess.org/

I own some of those editions. I'll happily send you both a photocopy. Just PM me with your address details. On typing it up; I can do that too, given time. Tell me which you would prefer?

By the by I used excerpts from the Burgess Coronet Introduction in the following article on my blog:

I'd love to see a photocopy too actually. I'd need to see about typing it up as well, with enough time I'd be happy to do it myself.

Just send me a PM and I'll send you an email of the scan of Burgess' Intro to the Coronet Books if you wish.

Thank you so much! I read it years ago. First time was in Liverpool, a few days before a congress on Anthony Burgess. Gosh the memories.

Anyway, back on Bond, great read, such interesting parallels with Sherlock Holmes, brilliant insights on Bond's continental side and about the plausibility of the villains as characters.
