    John Glen is often unfairly bashed by some Bond fans I feel. His work on the Bond series starting on OHMSS is what started my interest in Bond. I never thought Cubby was a fool, and he obviously hired Glen to direct five Bonds for a reason. Like many of the directors before him, he really understood what made a good Bond film. And in most cases, gave us some wonderful Bond moments to enjoy time and time again.
    As far as favourites go, for me it would be ;

    1. OP
    2. TLD
    3. LTK
    4. FYEO
    5. AVTAK

    I totally agree here. My favourities in TOP 5 order are:
    1. FYEO: Back to basics. Roger Moore shines in this one.
    2. TLD: Back to basics part two, now with Tim Dalton. Still FYEO was a bit more groundbreaking.
    3. OP: Fine, quite realistisc cold war thriller. Great bomb chase sequence.
    4. LTK: Gritty...yes. Bond-esque? No....
    5. AVTAK: One too many for Moore.

    If we transfer all the TOP 5's in this topic (45 in total) into points (7 points to your nr. 1, 5 points for your runner-up, 3 points to your bronze medalist, 2 points for your nr. 4 and 1 point to your last place), the ranking would be:

    231 POINTS --> 'The Living Daylights'
    176 POINTS --> 'Licence To Kill'
    173 POINTS --> 'For Your Eyes Only'
    146 POINTS --> 'Octopussy'
    085 POINTS --> 'A View To A Kill'

    Hey! You guys in the last Bond movie you watched thread. Seeing all of you ranking the Glen films, here is the place to do that.

    Same as mine. No. 1 is firm, but two and three can interchange for me. 4 and 5 also stay put.

    TLD is a work of art to me. LTK runs it close, but cheaper location work lets it down. OP is incredible too but Dalton takes his two to another level for me. FYEO is low due primarily to Glen and AVTAK is lowest primarily due to Moore who should have packed it in.

    I'm probably one of the very few (perhaps the only one) on this site who have all five in my top ten.

    1. FYEO
    2. LTK
    3. OP
    4. AVTAK
    5. TLD

    FYEO is like a rock. It never moves from my top spot.
    Depending on my mood that day, OP and TLD can switch places. Both are pretty solid entries.
    AVTAK is definitely a few steps behind the others but it does possess some admirable qualities.
    LTK is an unmitigated disaster. b-(

    Never a Glen fan...too sloppy too uneven all journeyman no art..

    LTK worst Bond film to date. Peaked with OP ..less sloppy than FYEO but Glen petered out after that...

    I'm a huge Bond fan ..my fav character but in 81 Bond by Glen's direction wasn't even close to Raiders.

    Glen like Dalton almost killed Bond... at least made him laughably uncool until GE.
