This thread used to be for Dave Worrall's book The Most Famous Car in the World, but I'm reorganising it for the DB5 in general. Here you are!

All I can say is I've got it but its in my parents loft in France and I haven't looked at it for getting on 15 years.

From what I recall it is a very lush book which goes fantastically in depth. It's clearly a labour of love. I would say its on a similar level to the Helfenstein 'making of....' books and most definitely worth getting.

I was gratified to hear from you it is now worth a mint but a quick butchers on Amazon.co.uk shows it going for £20 which is I think what I paid for it originally.

In America the prices are rediculous. Can you buy things from Amazon.co.uk in the US?

Yes, and the postage costs by Royal Mail from UK to US are not bad at all. With a stronger US $ it's worth it. Also, the VAT is deducted at checkout. I actually bought myself a multi-region blu ray player, because movies are cheaper across the pond also for the most part, although they are on region 2 rather than region 1 coding. There are also movies released in the UK on blu that are not available on region 1 US..

If you're buying from a third party on Amazon.co.uk, rather than Amazon itself, then you have to make sure that they offer international shipping.

I have reread it last week.

It's very interesting and deep. It contains the history of the DBV and how many cars were used in GF and TB, the promotion, the Royal car, the tours, the other two cars, and who own them "today".

My edition is from 1992, so sadly I miss all the Brosnan and Craig eras, that deserve another book.

Anyway, I found it very interesting and with good rare photos.

It's a good read goes into great depth about all the cars and how they were used which one were the filming cars and the others that were used for the gadgets only many many good photos and some detailed line drawings of the DB5 and it's Modifications.

Well, then... the most famous car in the world reduced to a pile of twisted metal. Ouch indeed. It makes me want to cry! I'll bet the driver is crying.

Maybe a welcome distraction to those awaiting the SP release which is actually spoiler free!! Feast your eyes on the pictures below!!

I found these gorgeous series of pictures (120 images of them!) whilst googling and want to share them with you if you haven't had the good fortune to see them.

Just click on a thumbnail for a full sized image!!

I've saved them ALL onto photobucket in case they're withdrawn off the original website:

Yeah, still the most beautiful car ever featured in a Bond movie, if not the most beautiful car ever.

So buying one with film relations will cost absurdly high amounts, but apparently buying a new one isn't that expensive and just requires waiting time? And, of course, payment for the installation of electric windows and other potential "modernizations". But living in Australia, I doubt I can get one, since they're only made in the UK.

I had the pleasure of riding a 1971 (I think?) DBS (the same model as the one in OHMSS), though, and it was a fantastic ride. Still think the DB5 is much cooler, though.
