I think that it's best if they use original villains. Although I like the theatricality of the older ones. That's what makes them stand out. They did go back to the more traditional style with Silva. With creating a more memorable character. Because let's be honest, you don't remember much about villains like Kristatos or Koskov.

Exactly! Silva was a great Villain. Originality is key for the Franchise to keep going on. Hell you could reboot all the Fleming villains and give them new names and it'd still be fresh.

That's what I like the most about the series. How it evolves depending which time period they are made.

If they do have the rights again to use Blofeld and Spectre? I do not expect to see them until after the Craig Bond era has come to an end?!!!

I do get that feeling aswell.
  • A good person to contact about Mr White returning or not is actually Jesper Chrsitensen himself.

You can contact him on his site. I emailed him numerous times leading up to Bond 23 (then as it was know) and he told me that he had not been asked back but would happily come back if the producers asked him.

That's good to know. I like Christensen, I wish to see him more films.

That's really good news. But this shocks me, after he said that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace are shit.

I'd really welcome him back in the franchise though.

He later backtracked on those remarks and said he was misquoted.
  • If Blofeld is going to be in Bond 24, it would make sense to have Mr. White in the film as a way to bridge Quantum/CR-QOS and SPECTRE/Blofeld.

Wow! Now I really really hope he'll be back in Bond 24.

Or Bond 25. Craig's final film could finnish him of perhaps?

    I want Quantum back!

Hopefully Craig will be back for Bond 26. Six films total for Craig would be a good number and be seen a highlight in the series 50+ year history.

Agreed and perhaps have a Quantum/ Blofeld (I don't necessarily want him back but if he HAS to come back would prefer him as head of Quantum) Trilogy Similar to the books

Risico 2015 (a modern day thunderball)
All the Time in the world (or Property of a lady) 2017 (a remake of sorts of OHMSS)
Valley of Shadows (or The Hildebrand Rarity) (a closer to the novel version of You Only Live Twice)

  • Right now Daniel is 45 and will be 47 when Bond 24 is released. Assuming that there is a three year gap between films;

    Bond 24: 47
    Bond 25: 50
    Bond 26: 53

Even if there was a four-year gap between 24 and 25 or 25 and 26, he will still be in his early to mid-50s, still young enough to play the role. Here's hoping he makes six films!

I just can't shake my addiction to wanting Blofeld to return! Anything else might just be a huge disappointment, as good as Javier was last time out. Ernst to Bond ala Moriarity - "Did ya Miss Me Mr Bond?"

I would like him to do 3 more. I just hope they don't leave three-year gaps in between Bond 25 and 26.
