MI6 AGENT 1/6 figure from DID toys

I've just received the MI6 Agent figure from DID. I have to say, I'm very impressed by it. The head sculpt looks a lot better in person and I think its the best unofficial sculpt of Daniel Craig so far.

I did not like the black tux when it was first announced by DID, so I was planning of changing it out with the midnight navy tux from Very Cool. But after looking and getting a feel of the tux in person, and after careful consideration, I think the quality and built of the tux on this DID figure is very nicely done and of better quality and cut than the one from Very Cool. So I won't be swapping the tux just yet. I just wish it was midnight navy though. But its still classy to have him in a standard black jacket tux.

I really like the simplicity of the all black packaging with the silver glossy MI6 logo. Very neatly done and finished off brilliantly. No extravagant graphics necessary. The packaging blends perfectly with the class and formal look of the figure. Accessory wise, it comes with Bond's trusty Walther PPK, an extra clip and a silencer. Not complaining about the accessory since its probably the only thing Bond would ever need other than his wristwatch and a beautiful woman by his side. Plus having few accessories helps keeps the cost of the figure low I suppose. Oh and some extra pair of hands for the never ending poses you can have this figure to do.

Overall, as a Bond fan, I'm very impressed by this figure and its overall look. Its definitely a good representation of Daniel Craig as James Bond. Enjoy the photos....

That's really cool, @imranbecks! The box and figure are very impressive for a maker I haven't heard of. Is that stand the figure is on a part of what you get in the package? If so, that is really awesome, as it kind of reminds me of the white gun barrel circle. It would make a great backdrop as well, to give it the effect of Bond shooting towards you like in the gun barrel sequences.

Haha.. No the stand is not part of the figure. It doesn't come with any stand whatsoever. Just the gun with the clips and silencer along with some extra set of hands....

Ehh, I've never been one for eBay. I don't have Paypal.

    @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, same! Small world.

Do you have a brudder too?

In all seriousness, I have never been an ebay fan either. I like to buy things completely new, and that is how I have always been with everything from books to movies and games, and I don't mind paying a little extra because of it.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, if the price difference is heavy and said purchase is in great/like new condition, I'll buy something used.

Holy hell, $110? I'm cheap. I was hoping it'd be a whole lot less than that. Real shame.

The right lighting really does show off the figure's best features. It is a great looking sculpt that is a much better representation of Dan's Bond, especially in comparison to some of the so-called "professional" figures I have seen cost some big bucks in the past. I love how the PPK even has a slide function, and this is probably my favorite pose:
    http://did.co/2013/products/m16/_MG_2312.jpg

If I bought this I would set Bond up like that, and probably place a homemade gun barrel background behind him to accentuate the pose. I would then probably geek out every time someone came into my house and shout at them, "Don't make any sudden moves. Bond is watching you!"

I scored one of those too, imranbecks! Probably the BEST collectible I've ever bought! I got mine through ebay; the best part was, I 'pre-ordered' it, thinking it wouldn't arrive until November, then I get home last weekend and there it was!

Mine currently has a place of honor on my glass shelf, next to my Casino Royale chips and PPK

Cool! It actually looks better than I had expected it to be as I had read some skeptical remarks over the head sculpt on the final product as it differed with the prototype images that DID had provided earlier on... As evident through my photos, it actually looks pretty good. Even better in person.

Nice buy! The face looks superb. I'd have fun making a stop motion vid with one of these.

It would go great with my GoldenEye Bond in Jungle Fatigues figure. :)

Sideshow Collectables did a lot of figures for the 40th anniversary.

I still have that Goldeneye Brosnan :-) But since I have the Sideshow Legacy Brosnan in his business attire, I kept that one back in the packaging...

They were a lot cheaper too. I think back when my parents got mine it was $40.

@Murdock, now $40, I think I could swing. I remember seeing those 'Django Unchained' action figures when they were $30 or $40, and when they got discontinued, they sky-rocketed to $200-400 or so at one point.

Collectible 1/6 (12 inch) figurines that are catered for the adult collectors are all usually priced from US$100 and above.. Depending on the manufacturer as well as how many of the particular figure has or would be made, a particular limited edition adult collectible figure can retail for more than US$200. Well known figure companies that caters to the adult collectors market are brands such as Hot Toys, Enterbay, Medicom and Sideshow. Companies such as DID is still slowly on the rise with many more other smaller companies competing as well.
