Your Bond watches

Title really says it all. What Bond watches do YOU own?

The closest I've gotten is an Invicta 8926, which resembles a Submariner from films like LALD. I really want an Omega, but as I am a kid (14), it will take me a year to save up. Should I do that or just get a replica for $500?

I was faced with the same dilemma (13 years old) So I saved up and bought the 500$ replica of a Skyfall Planet Ocean Omega watch. At our age it doesn't quite matter. It's just a bloody watch and a replica looks very very very similar.

$500???? Dude, just buy a cheap watch that's pretty close, and modify it yourself! They all come apart & can be changed to suit with a little creativity!

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess I'll get the replica. Plus I don't want to get mugged for the real one. :)

Still can't afford the real deal, but last year I bought replicas of the Submariner ($26) and Planet Ocean ($20) for the sole purpose of making screen accurate gadgets out of them. I'm still working on getting the Seamaster. I'll just print out photoshopped dials for them and viola! The submariner rep I got is great quality for the price, and looks like the real thing in every way except for the logo. I was so impressed with the quality that I bought another one to wear, and the original will become the gadget prop. I found them on ebay.

If you're after the seamaster, go to the Alpha Watch site. They've got 'em for just over $100 (still saving for mine). You might have to buy a new bezel insert and customize a dial to get the exact look, but IMO you won't get it cheaper unless you risk buying from one of the other chinese sites that don't provide security through Paypal.

I have a replica of both the 40th anniversary Seamaster and the Planet Ocean with the 007 logo on the 7th hour (don't know if it's the 50th anniversary release, just acquired it recently). I like the former more because it has the 007 logos under the Seamaster logo and all over the face of the watch, and on the seconds.

Has he ever worn a Rolex? I think he has. I really want an Omega one.

Yes, he's worn a Rolex in 9 official Bond movies. The last time Bond wore one though was in License to Kill. You can check the list here rather than showing you lack of Bond knowledge, @hullcityfan ...

Here is MI6's run down of watches:

Though I'll admit, this is a little out of date.

Craig wore two Omega Seamasters in Skyfall- a Planet Ocean and an Aqua Terra. The Omega Seamaster Professional was essentially BrosnanBond's watch, except Craig sported one in the second half of Casino Royale.

After fighting Obanno? I don't pay much attention to the watches.

I'm pretty sure he wears it from the Montenegro train scene until the end of the film.

That Seamaster is actually the chrono Broz wore from TND-DAD. You can tell by the 4 lines of text (GE's has 3 lines).

    Lovely watches though, @Master! :-bd

Thanks. It's a beautiful watch, especially after giving it a good clean. I bought it during the summer from the Omega store in New Bond street as I wanted to wait and get the slightly larger version of the watch and they were the only store within reach that stocked it. However, after buying it it looked a bit too big on my wrist so I took it back and exchanged it for the one I have now as seen in the pics.

Lovely watch there, @doubleoego! I can only dream of owning an Omega one day.

It will be interesting to see whether Bond continues to wear one of these for the next film, or reverts back to the PO.

Being a fan of both Bond and wristwatches, one of my goals is to acquire every type of Bond watch, whether it’s genuine or replica, in-film or promo. I have quite a few now, but many of them need a bit of work before I can showcase them properly.

Recently, after being outbid in countless auctions, I finally won a Seiko H357-5040. It's one of two watches Roger wore in FYEO, specifically his main one that’s seen up close at the end of the film.

As you can see, the black bezel has had a bit of enemy contact, and the usual version doesn’t have the logo there, but rather on the dial. However, I have a few spare parts which are screen accurate, so I’ll do a switch at some point.

I was surprised at how small the case is, but overall, I think it looks pretty neat, especially with the contrast of black on silver.

The bracelet is not the correct one, but close enough. I’ve already spray painted the spare bezel, and may also give the bracelet a touch up to make it look good as new.

And a wrist shot for your eyes only
