I have already done posters for Property of a Lady, so I thought I would give Risico a spin.

Is it perhaps our dear old friend @Sexpionage (other nicknames included) who finally shows his true identity?

Absolutely fantastic, @haserot. @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7's poster is great as well.

    Thank you, @AgentJamesBond007. :)

That feels very Hitchcockian, @haserot. Very nice.

Has anyone took a crack at a more proper artwork for Bloodstone? I'd like to see one inline with a movie poster or a book cover, but don't have the software or skills to pull it off.

I found this online- I may just print one for myself!

Nice, I do like that over the current cover. I just feel I see so much of the bloodied, roughed up Bond with Craig (pre-Skyfall, that is) that I've grown tired of it. It's great in the movies, but he's not the only Bond who's been roughed up, but seems to be the only one that gets that treatment with the press pictures.

I may put one up some time soon, @ultrabox.

I'd appreciate it. I really enjoy all the artwork on this board. I love the cracks at Property of a Lady, Risco, 007 in New York, etc, but my favorites so far have been stuff like the 2 disc collection of Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. It's cool to see those fit in line with the rest, retroactively. I'd like to see what if Bloodstone was a movie or book as opposed to a video game. I feel the same about EON but that cover is close to a movie poster already. Bloodstone's feels cheap in comparison, it's just a still shot from QoS with a blue/green filter on.

Same here. I may take a crack at it sometime.

Once again, well done @haserot! Quite striking. Also, great use of the John Dee 007 glyph.

thanks for the kind words all

i wanted something that felt neo-retro.. as i love that style of artwork for film posters.. but i wanted something that could fit in today, but also look like it could've been ripped right out of the 50s or 60s... creating movie posters is a complex art, more complex than the average person thinks it is.. you have to balance the commercial/advertising aspect with creating a well proportioned thing of art.. the successful ones can easily do both... obviously i lean more toward the artistic side - but i think it's something more movie companies should do, instead just slapping their lead star on the poster with the film's title and calling it a day.... i am no expert at it, but it's something i would love to do one day - design posters for 007 films.. if not for film, then i would love to design covers for books and games lol...

with my latest Risico poster, i tried to capture that Saul Bass feel, while creating a contemporary piece of pop art.. plus the repeated 007 lines with Daniel Craig, and the title, are laid out to look like an abstract Union Jack.

Looking at these awesome pics, especially over the last 2 pages, I feel like walking ito the EoN offices and punching everyone in the marketing department who're involved with designing the posters. Splendid work, everyone.

Nice pics but cant see EON using the title, Risico. Not very marketable.

neither was Quantum Of Solace, but nothing stopped them from using it.

Or Skyfall. You don't find out what it is until the last half an hour. That didn't stop it from being a behemoth critical success and earning over a billion dollar in the box office.

I think mystery titles like Skyfall and Risico are better, because they could give you motivation on top of the hype to see the film just to uncover what the titles mean.

Craig's era needs to continue to use those exotic names, seems that they fit on him. The next film should really be named Risico.

:-)) I like the picture you chose from Bond. It's like he took a look at the woman in the BG and stopped. "Saving the world can wait, I have some more important business to attend to."

Here is another variation of my newest poster, with the text tweaked a little:

    8549109192_d4e47ec901_k.jpg

Though a small bit of Bond is sacrificed in the composition of the title, I like it just as much if not better than the text placement of the first version. Thanks to @Mrcoggins for the suggestion. :)
