'Carte Blanche' lands at #5 in New York Times best-seller list

'Carte Blanche', the new James Bond continuation novel from thriller writer Jeffery Deaver, has landed at #5 in the New York Times best-sellers list for Hardcover Fiction in its debut week on sale in the USA.

All of the top five are new entries except for "State of Wonder", which holds on to its #3 position from its entry on the chart last week.

    Yes, he's a writer. The games are based on his creations and often carry the title "Tom Clansy's Splinter Cell" if the game is based on his Splinter Cell series for example. Just like Ian Fleming's James Bond, the Bond films aren't about Fleming.

    Clancy didn't write "Against All Enemies" by himself, although you'd never know by looking at the book jacket:
