Bond Docudrama: Who would play who ?

Being a big fan of Doctor Who, I know of course about the news that Mark Gatiss is writing and directing a docudrama about the beginning of the famous series, just in time for its fiftieth birthday. Which got me thinking...

What if somebody decided to do a similar docudrama about the beginning of the most successful movie series of all times ? And who would play Harry Saltzman, Cubby Broccoli, Ian Fleming, and more importantly, Sean Connery and Ursula Andress ? And while we're at it, who would direct it ?

A subject worthy of discussion, I think.

    I feel like I remember reading about this once-- with James McAvoy as Ian Fleming.
    I'm wondering who the hell could possibly play Sean Connery? I can't think of anyone who looks like him....

    Geoffrey Rush would be a perfect Ian Fleming, in his writing years.

    Good casting! Geoffrey Rush would make a good Ian Fleming.

    It's a shame that Adrian Paul is 53. He would have been perfect.

    Edit: I just thought of a left-field choice, but with the right make-up, hair, and some accent training, Zachary Quinto might be able to convincingly portray a young Connery...

    I pretty much agree with this. For Sean Connery, Jean Dujardin would be perfect, only if he spoke English better...

    I pretty much agree with this. For Sean Connery, Jean Dujardin would be perfect, only if he spoke English better...

    Do it in classic Bond mentality, and you can just dub him. Haha

    Maybe David Tennant as Sean Connery. After all, he can do a convincing scottish accent ;)

    Well that would work and all we need is a Sean Connery sound alike to make the dub more convincing.
