Who should be a Bond girl?

• So nuclear physicists can't be hot?

Yeah it's unlikely she'd be one but it's only a film. From the way some people talk about it you'd think they wanted a real one cast.

It isn't a question of looks. When Denise is explaining to me the elements on the periodic table and their various attributes and what they can do, I am obviously not sold on it.

So CZJ would be the Moneypenny. But i'd stick with Sandra Bullock for this.

I see no kinks in the engine. Runs smooth, reliable, and the truck and hood are mighty impressive.

Felicity Willing? That's the strangest name i've ever heard - not a bad name at all.

I had a post and poster on page 16 of this thread, in case anyone wants to see. I won't bother repeating that, but I still stand by my point - get Yvonne Strahovski!

Let's hope that movie doesn't happen, eh?

What's wrong with that? Carte Blanche is the only Bond novel that could really fit well for Daniel Craig's Bond.

Well I like when I read the book and I can imagine this book fitting well for a screen adaptation and it really fit Craig's Bond.

We should probably save that discussion for another thread, but I'll put it this way...
I don't want to see the Bond girl being 'sort of' good looking, but much older.
I don't want that older, unattractive Bond girl literally crying on Bond's shoulder. That's just awkward and uncomfortable to read.
I don't want that older, unattractive Bond girl crying on Bond's shoulder in Bond's car; a Subaru! (The optional extra must be granola bars.)
Also, I don't want Bond climactically tricking the villain by simply hanging his jacket on a rock.

Well, you should give some good arguments, like: the new Bibi, now shagable! ;-)

You know beside Lana Wood and Olga Kurylenko (although she's Ukranian), I can't remember the last time we had a real Russian actress getting a Bond girl role. Yuliya Snigir could work. But there's another Russian actress who's in the same film. Her name is Anne Vyalitsyna and holy cow anybody think she Bond girl material:

I'm still not sold on January Jones' acting abilities, but, looks-wise, I think she could pull it off...

I was looking at the cast for the upcoming film, The Wolverine. I found an interesting actress/model that qualify as a Bond girl in the future. Her name is Svetlana Khodchenkova. Beside The Wolverine, she played Irina in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. Could Barbara and Michael put her name and her # on their future Bond girl phonebook if they want a nice looking Bond girl from mother Russia in the future.

I know she already sort of help promote Carte Blanche, but I think Chesca Miles may have some Bond girl potential on screen. I wouldn't mind seeing her and Daniel Craig (or whoever play 007 in the future) together on screen.

Agreed. I'd love to see Yvonne Strahovski in a Bond film.
• As gorgeous as I think Emily Browning and Danielle Panabaker are, they do seem too young next to Bond right now.

Sienna Guillory has been my choice for a while. English, and, if you've seen her Resident Evil movies, can kick @$$.

Jessica Gomes and Jessica Alba were both rumored to be considered for Bond girls before. I'd still like to see them get their chances to play femme fatales.

You're preaching to the chior on Guillory. I've wanted to see her as a Bond Girl for a while as well. But it looks like i'll have to settle for my dream cast of Licence Renewed.
• And since the subject of Sucker Punch actresses has been breached, I've been smitten with Jamie Chung lately. She'd at least be a more appropriate casting choice than Browning.

How about Tanit Phoenix? She's South African and enough sexy to magnetize Bond, IMO. Watch Death Race 2 and some of her IGN Babeology videos, if you want:

She does seem to fit Bheka Jordaan's description in Carte Blanche. I think Barb and Michael should also pay attention to her if Bond 24 will be Carte Blanche.

Beside her, there's also Lesley-Ann Brandt who played Naevia in the series Spartacus: Blood and Sand also could play Bheka Jordaan. Brandt was also born in South Africa so she could fit that role. Again If I was Barbara and Michael, need to also consider her.

Do any of you know know Mischa Barton? I think some of you who watch The O.C. may remember her. I recall a few years ago she said she wants to be a Bond girl (since she herself is a big 007 fans).

I think she would make a fine Bond girl.

Perhaps they will have one with more screen time than the last 4 girls, and American's need not apply for any Bond girl role.

What last 4 are you referring to?

Severine, Fields and Solange didn't get much screentime. Can't think of a 4th.

She's no thinner than any of the recent Bond girls.

Glossing over all the American Bond girls who, while they make some of the best Bond girls in terms of sheer hotness in my opinion, acting- and story-wise make several people's lists of least favorites, there's still Carey Lowell, Talisa Soto, and Diana Lee-Hsu, who were all American born and raised, and all did a fine job in LTK. Lois Chiles as Holly Goodhead was one of the few good things about Moonraker (my least favorite Bond movie, hands down) and Barbara Bach from TSPWLM, one of the all-time great Bond girls, was born in Queens.

No nationality should be off limits for casting, as none has ever been in the past.
