I dream of 007 trilogy...Fassbender as 007 with Christopher Nolan directs?!

edited June 2011 in Bond Movies Posts: 2

Hello, I'm hoping if possible after Craig contract ends. Is it possible? after seeing Fassbender in X-Men:First Class...can he be the next Bond? with a trilogy direct by "Dark Knight" fame Chris Nolan. I see Ralph Fiennes to be the best villain/henchmen with maybe sir Ian McKellen as main boss? Help me out with the Bond girl guys....

Cheers, Andrian aka Spymaker.

    Yeah, not so sure I would want Joseph Gordon Levitt in a Bond film...

    I just saw X Men a few days ago but truthfully i did not know anything about Michael Fassbender before.

    His role as Magneto was the highlight of the film & I look forward to seeing more of the same in the near future.

    As to Bond he could pose a nice threat as a villain & as you say could be an excellent 007 actor.

    I hope to see Daniel Craig for maybe one more after 23 if he's willing to stay around.

    Both won't and shouldn't happen. I don't like the idea of Fassbender as Bond, he'd just be another Brosnan, and Nolan I feel has used all his Bond juice up on Inception.

    Is there a discussion about the specific influeces of Bond in X-Men First: Class? I think it would be an interesting topic.

    It might work but will never happen. Nolan won't happen, that it.

    Whoaaa shaken & stirred reactions! hehe I think Fassbender is a mix of craig, dalton, brosnan into one. His more cold blooded looking but not to much like craig. Craig is cool but his not good looking enough. His acting is ok...Quantum blow up big time....hate it. Nolan I think is perfect! dark knight story was quite strong & 007 need to be like that...a trilogy would be perfect! hehe thats my dream.... oh one other thing the theme song has to be right this time!

    My feelings exactly.

    I'd love Fassbender as Bond, and he'd be my top choice to take over the role if Craig were to step down at some point in the next few years (which I really hope doesn't happen). I'd rather not see a Nolan-directed Bond film, though. His films, especially The Dark Knight, are quite overrated.

    we can just guess if Fassbender will be good Bond or Nolan will be good Bond director but i think that B23 might be last part of the triology. CR and QoS are related so if B23 is again with Quantum than i guess it is triology

    I personally like Nolan's films - but other than the fancy twists he has written in the stories, i find his directing very very simple, and lacking any extraordinary skill.... when i think of great visual/technical directors, i think of Hitchcock, Spielberg (young Steven), Scorsese, and Kubrick.... the stories to Nolan's films are more intriguing than his actual skill...... so given if he were to work with other writers, that aren't his usual duo - i would question whether or not his movies would be as good..

    Fassbender (forgive me) reminds me of a darker haired, and just slightly better looking Toby Stephens.... i could maybe see him as Bond, but I could see him more as a villain, to oppose Craig, maybe in Bond 24 (or possibly Bond 25 - should Craig stick around for it)

    I don't see Fass as Bond. I think he has a different career ahead of him. Fingers crossed that X-Men First Class is the first of three films involving him as Magneto because he just absolutely nailed that part. What a performance! Here's a fine actor indeed, but not my idea of Bond just yet.

    As for Nolan, I'm actually pretty confident that he could pull it off. People see a couple of his films and often fail to notice how different he can make them if he wants to. That said, yes his films are cold and 'intelligent' but there's a time for everything. Maybe when the next LTK is due, Nolan could make it? But a trilogy? No. Besides, I doubt EON or Nolan himself would want this.

    I would really like to see Nolan direct a Bond film in future. He doesn't use CGI much so it would be nice to see the stunts done for real again.

    Michael Fassbender would be my favourite actor of choice for the James Bond role, but only if Daniel Craig decides to retire from the role. Of course it still remains to be seen whether this will happen or not as of now.

    You're just having a bad dream... take some Tylenol and you'll be fine.

    Bond doesn't to be a Batman trilogy retread. We would loose interest fast.

    And id add a bitt of Sean Connery as well. Actually more Connery than Dalton.

    But a Bond actor being a mix of these 4(Pierce, Brosnan, Sean Connery, Daniel Craig and Timothy Dalton) looks promising.

    He has Pierce Brosnan's good looks
    Sean Connery's cool nature
    Daniel Craig's physicality
    Timothy Dalton's intensity

    I watched Fassbender in Haywire and thought at the time he would make a great James Bond.

    Watching the Inception climax it's obvious Nolan has an affinity with OHMSS.

    Lets get the them together!

    Am I the only one who thinks if Nolan were to do his bond film it would be with Hardy as 007 and not Fassbender.

    Hardy as I said in another thread is tremendously talented but is even more thug like than Craig and no I don't think he could do refined enough to be Bond.

    Now Fassbender ozzes refinement, he can do the cruel face and the cut glass english accent, he looks so suave suited and booted and he's one of the best actors on the planet at the moment.

    He's the only actor established that could eclipse Craig in his first film.

    It's better to go with a relative unknown, Dan Stevens but I think Tom Hughes and James Norton are at that level that is just right, hopefully the Hiddlestone Turner boat sailed months ago.

    Fassbender would be much better for a Nolan Bond film if it happened, I just don't see where you are seeing Hardy pulling this off.

    Fassbender couldn't do Baine or certainly not Mad Max, Hardy has the physique for that but he's too small and bulky for Bond, Fassbender is more than cuts the figure to be 007.

    That being said I'd rather see someone like Denis Villenueve direct Fassbender than Nolan, I personally think like with Spielberg that boat has sailed.

    Like I said I am not a film critic or proffesional in the business I go with what I know and who I know Untill the role is cast I agree hiddleston Fassbender etc likely won't get it but Until proven other wise

    Like I said my hope is that whomever is cast we get the more harder edged bond film like from Russia with love for your eyes only licence to kill casino Royale and quantum of solace.

    We already have a tightly knitted quadrilogy, made by three directors. It is called "The Daniel Craig Quadrilogy" and it consists of these four movies:

    --> "Casino Royale"
    --> "Quantum Of Solace"
    --> "SkyFall", &
    --> "SPECTRE"

    Let's leave it there....or continue where "SPECTRE" ended.
