I enjoy working out (physical exercise ) and also jumping rope for aerobic activity , smoking ganja and reading on politics daily. I enjoy the beach as much as possible here in Florida, I love to bathe in the sun. I stay away from the corporate consumer culture and think for myself. the best bonds in my opinion are FRWL,DR.NO and Casino Royale. All the rest I could really care less about.

You made it clear on another thread you are homophobic. How do you square that with bathing and displaying your body in a public place?

Well you got your wish. He's not male or gay. And he's not trolling you. You're the one guilty of that.

I like to paint nerf guns, because they make good sci-fi weapons for movies.

Like this awesome pic for example, not mine though.

Wow- and you made it look grungy. Nice job, Murdock. I don't suppose you've got photos of your whole prop collection. Personally, I like the idea of making props out of household items, although I haven't made anything for years. Back in the 90s I made a rubber band hand gun out of paddle pop sticks and used coat hanger wire for the trigger guard. If I made my own films, prop making would be something I could get into.

actually that's not my nerf gun, but I'd like to make mine look like that. But here's some of my props.

    A Grenade Launcher.

@Murdock if you want a 'worn metal' look on any of your weapon models, take a dry brush with a small dip of silver paint and lightly brush over the weapon, especially corners. Makes it look like scratched paint on metal. Obviously works best over black.

Thanks, I've done it to a few props I've modded for movies. I'll post a pic of it tomorrow.

    Shrinking. Positively shrinking.
  • Let's see... hmm. I have a few hobbies, like video gaming, which I take seriously. If I see a game I feel is going to be a worthy experience, I'll play it a few times, and then sell it for someone else to play. My favourite game franchises that I love to death are Max Payne (minus the crappy movie), Hitman (actually enjoyed THAT film), and Grand Theft Auto (I count Red Dead as Grand Theft Horse!). Great stuff with mostly great talent involved. I like the Bond games, naturally, just not some of the rubbish Activision is crapping out. I am also a huge fan of Quantic Dream (Indigo Prophecy, Heavy Rain), as they make the best in "interactive film". I'm also into online gaming, and I usually play Red Dead Redemption or GTA IV on PSN with my cousin.

I'm also currently on Star Trek Online, living out my Trekkie fantasy!

Most of my hobbies lead back to being a major film buff. Eastwood is my favourite actor and I have a box set of "35 Years, 35 Films" and the Dirty Harry Blu-Ray set. Bond and Trek are huge influences to me and Shatner is a national treasure to me as a Canuck.
Bond inspired me to become an actor. I love acting. Any job in entertainment would be the best thing for me.

I also like to LARP (live acton role play) where you basically run around playing characters. It helps me if I'm trying to develop a character or a story that I want to write. Once lead me to drinking a vodka martini, shaken, not stirred at my local pub. Definitely an aquired taste. (Yes, I'm of legal drinking age, 19, so as you can tell I'm a proud nerd)

I am an avid pop, rock and country music lover/defender of '80s music. I spent most of my earnings on CDs. I have all of Tim McGraw's albums and am almost finished assembling a collection of the works of Steve Perry, my all-time favourite singer, who inspired me to take up singing. I am one album short of having every Journey album he sang on, though I also have their last 2 albums because in turn they are my favourite band... In other music news, I have a whole wall of my bedroom dedicated to KISS. LOL.

I like to perform whether it be singing in a band or acting in a play or film. Singing is my passion and also write songs and am working on doing an album with a friend of mine. This is not what I consider a hobby, but I put it there anyway because my mother thinks so.

All this geekness, and I also have an amazing, beautiful girlfriend who I've been in a unique and rather unconventional relationship with for 6 months, 17 days.
  • I do a lot to occupy my time (I stopped studying for a while, real shame now that I'm in college, so I'm a homebody). I enjoy playing and composing music, as I am a lead guitarist of a Beatles tribute band... and the rest, well, everything a nerd fanboy does. I play a lot of video games, mostly the old-school ones, I play poker, cook, read, draw, paint, watch movies. I also self-study as redemption for my academic inactivity, I read a lot of history, politics, philosophy, psychology, physics, criminology (I'm a criminology undergrad) and languages (I already know four). But what takes my time the most is writing. I wrote at least fifty poems, a lot of stories, some original, and mostly fan-fiction (about Bond, Bourne, Star Trek, and many others). James Bond inspired me to create a spy character, whom I simply called Agent 11, a working-class government worker who moonlights for the Philippine Secret Service. I have written 10 James Bond short stories on an own canon I created, one ending the Fleming canon, and is currently creating a story about Raoul Silva's background.

That's very specific. My girlfriend and I don't even know when we started dating.

My hobby is to collect all sort of things I like and care about. I used to collect comik books, boxing fights (I have over 7000 fights from 1897 to 2004), MLB baseball jerseys, and now I kinda collect books about American politics, North and South Pole exploration, Nazism and the Second World War, baseball history...My wife thinks, I don't know why, that I'm starting to use too much of the house space! Of, course, I also collect movies (very good ones only) and have every Bond film (except Skyfall of course) on DVD.

"I like baseball, movies, good clothes, fast cars, whiskey, and you... what else you need to know?"

Kudos to whoever knows what that is from.

In all seriousness, I love Bond, hockey, films, good clothes, Steven Spielberg's 'Munich,' being a major fan of Pierce Brosnan, mojitos, video games, the occasional book, and my role as Eva Mendes and Emily Browning's lover.

    It's from 'Public Enemies,' surprisingly.

I'm ashamed to say I haven't read in quite some time. Fleming novels, Ted Bell's Hawke series, and the Millennium trilogy have been interests for me lately. When I was younger, I read Perry's 'Resident Evil' series.

I have been known to fool around with my PS3 NCAA football. Now get this : I don't just set up and play random games, nor do I get into the computer and recruit and do all that shytt.
I organinze about 32 selected teams and sit down and draw up a season schedule (using NFL scheduling system) and play out the season. I will pick a team and play agains the CPU (which fukking cheats, let me tell you)
Half the fun and headache is drawing up the season schedule but I do it over several weeks time...
    Weird huh?
