We did it back in 2006 & 2008 and it's fun, so why not again?

It's simple. You take your own contribution, convert it to US Dollars, add it to the previous post's number and then post the sum.

When I say 'MI6's contribution', that's not very strict to just members of the community. I suggest counting not only the money you paid yourself, but the total of what you and your company paid each time.

If you see the film again, visit this thread once more and add your latest contribution.

Let me start.

So far I've seen SKYFALL twice, but I'm going again tonight. 9 tickets in total. At 7€ each, that's 63€ or $80.09.

Nice idea @gt007. I went with two friends, each ticket cost €8,70, about $11, making a total of $33.

I convinced a few work colleagues who were undecided to go watch it so I might have indirectly contributed with a little more ;)

Thanks @Sandy. It's not originally mine though, someone else started it on KTBEU. :)

Please calculate the sum when you post your contribution, so we can have the total money our community has contributed.
    So far we've got 80.09 + 33 = $113.09.

Three tickets yesterday with a total of $29.
  • Three people. 7.50 each. Comes out to $22.50
    113.09+29+22.5= 164.14
  • Not a lot from me really. Myself and the wife went and we paid €6 each (2 TICKETS @ ABOUT $US15. Would have contributed more but I can't find a cinema showing it in English and don't want to see it a second time dubbed in French. I hate dubbed films!
We have 2 friends who never go to the cinéma and have decided to go to see it because they heard some of the film was shot in Scotland and they visit Scotland every year!

    so far 164.14 + 15 = 179.14

If we contribute more than $100 000 here on the forum, I demand we get a free lunch at the Broccoli's place. ;-)

    We're up to $888.49 now.
  • We should actually tweet this to EON when we get the final figures. We better get a reward. The one Darth Dimi suggested seems to be sufficient.
  • Going again on Monday

    $888.49 + $44 = $932.49

    4 tickets (twice) = 44
    1 ticket = 11.5
  • Saw it twice. 2 adult tickets the first time, 1 adult ticket and a kids ticket the 2nd time.

Adding that up that's £33.90. No idea how muh in dollars.

    $1034.00

    That's $16.52, making a total $1084.52.

That's a lot of money! And we're only less than 20 people so far!
