    Fixed that for ya.

Ah thank you...guess I was not on the ball last night at 2 am. There was only 1 member ever to be known as the grammar police on the old site.....hhhmmm could that be you hiding behind that user name?

I prefer it when people use good grammar as well. It's this little pet peeve I have about the butchering of the English language thanks to texting, Fecebook and those sorts of things. s331n9 p30p13 t41k 1ik3 t4i5 i5 r3411y 4nn0yin9.

I am not on this forum to discuss grammar and criticize others about it.....but if I was writing a research paper I would take the time to make sure all things were perfect. (I did get 3 straight A's in college English). It does not bother me on a site like this....Usually I have limited time to read posts/ respond so I get quick on the computer.

anyways back on topic...The people that voted for Obama, what has he done in 4 years that make it right for him to continue his quest? I can honestly say the only thing he delivered on was starting to bring back troops from war.

Killing Bin Laden, for starters. He's bringing our jobs back from overseas. The stock market is up from when he took over. And, yes, he's bringing our troops back.

Romney, on the other hand, said he'd do... what, exactly? Abolish taxes for the clearly under privilaged rich, do away with Medicare, send our jobs "back where they belong" (overseas, apparently, just like his money) and get rid of PBS (obviously Big Bird was a huge threat to him). All of this seems good... why?

To answer your question Mr. Whyte.
    Goldenball wrote:
President Obama repealed "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

He ended the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

    He saved the automobile industry and tens of thousands of jobs throughout the mid-west; He signed into law the "Equal Pay For Equal Work Act" insuring that women are paid the same as men for the same work;
    He killed Osama Bin Laden, mastermind of 9/11;
He passed laws restricting what credit cards can do, put into effect the most stringent new rules on how Wall Street investors can do their jobs and got the insurance companies to allow college age students to stay on their parents plan while children with preexisting conditions can now get medical insurance.

"The Affordable Care Act" hopes to insure 90% of all Americans.

Obama believes a woman has the right over her body. Romney and Ryan don't. They believe life begins at conception and if they win, set into motion a plan that would make abortion murder.

President Obama never apologized to any foreign leader, not even for eight years of Bush & Cheney. Just lies.

President Obama never took the work requirement out of assistance. They just say he did, like Romney taking the credit for the auto bail-out.

And I like the way Obama handles the mud that's flung at him. He has a cool, zen-like calmness about him, so even when the Right claim he's illegitimate, lazy, and a socialist,
he appears confident and sincere. I trust him. Romney is whatever you want to make of him- he's like an Etch-A-Sketch, and this is from his own camp. I'll take that

    . . . as a warning.

It wasn't so much what he's done (and he HAS done a FEW really good things), it was about the threat that was Romney & Ryan, carpetbagging elitist lying scum. They, like most medium-intelligence/ultra-high ambition narcissists, work in short term to maximize return on time & money invested. America's problems need a sure, easy, measured long term repair. And that makes no one instantly richer, which is the goal of every psuedo-God fearing workaholic.
Obama is no saint, but by comparison, R&R were the bringers of the Zombie Apocalypse, to put it a bit theatrically.

Exactly. Somehow "giving the order" qualifies as a heroic act. Sorry that Bush beat you to it by several years. His work alone made Obama able to give the order. So really, not his victory, but Bush's. Just a shame such a great man like George doesn't get his due recognition. He is a truly great American Christian man. We owe a lot to him. And FYI, anyone who criticizes him, do you really have anything on the man? Or is he just your easiest target to pick on to blame someone other than who the problem really lies with?

Obama gave the go-ahead, but in fact he was kept in the dark concerning the live feed of events so he couldn't pull the plug in case stuff went a little south in spots. The covert guys were free to make decisions, the Bond-like decisions, on their own, more or less.

  • Interesting how the vote divded. Basically all the white men voted for the tax dodger and the rest voted for the geek.

America is in serious dodo. A fractured divided society. Now get this the Republicans have to court the Hispanic vote if they ever want to step into the 'multi-cultural multi-faith not so whitey house'.

If Bush had given the order, you'd be saying that Bush killed Bin Laden (just like you said Bush killed Saddam Hussein).

You don't have anything to back it up? That's what I thought. He did this nation a service! He doesn't deserve any of the criticism he receives. He defended us with the best kind of defense, attacking offensively in Iraq, after we had been attacked on our soil. Had 9/11 been during Obama's time, I'd fear for the safety of everyone in this nation. He wouldn't have the guts to attack offensively. Probably would be afraid we'd "hurt their feelings."

Absolutely. He did the work, so he and the Seals would get the credit, and actually, he and the Seals do get my credit. Obama gets "credit" for learning how to press the attack button successfully. 5XP to you, Barack. Now learn how to really lead the nation.

LOL, that's a bit of a simplification (I'm a white man)... I'd say the uneducated white men who have fantasies of various kinds floating about in their noggins & well-to-do white men and their subservient womenfolk voted for the tax dodger and the rest voted for the geek. ;)

So, if a Republican gives the order, he "does the deed", but if a Democrat gives the order, he doesn't?

    Make f*cking sense.

Attacked on our soil...tell that to 100,000 civilians killed on their soil by the USA in both the oil wars.

    Take that Mitches!
  • You're all a bunch of idiots. The plane and simple of it is that OBAMA WON!!! No matter what you want to say about politics, the election is over and Romney lost, and Obama won, and everyone in the world is just going to have to deal with it. I for one am elated that Obama won, but I can understand how mad Romney supporters are feeling so this thread really should be shut down or something. But anyway...

Unintentional consequences. The Taliban? Intended DEATH of AMERICANS. I praise Bush for going on and taking care of business. They played hardball with us, and they lost their leader. That'll teach them not mess with us again. Bush has guts, he's not afraid to let 'em have it. Certainly a smart man, an extremely intelligent man for sure.

Bush threw two armies at two countries which has undoubtely added to the US deficit and does make the defense industry loads of dosh but the people could not find OBL during his reign.
During Obama's reign, he inherited two wars and is very cautious not to enter a third even if Syria & Iran would look rightious, they found OBL hiding in the country of an ALLY. It did take a decision on the highest level to order folks into that country, had it gone wrong Barack would have been blamed for an act of war or terrorism. So he did take a large risk and a concious decision which could have ended his rule after 1 term. (Like Carter after his rescue of the Iran hostages failed).

Bush and his cronies are responsible for two wars that were advised against those wars by people who actually knew something about the political and religious background of the area.

@SaintMark: Responsible for two wars? The funny thing is, they were absolutely necessary. Had we not engaged in them, it would have sent signals out to our enemies that we were pansies who were easily frightened by the Islamic extremists. I praise Bush for being American and not backing down in the face of danger, because that's what Americans do, we fight for our nation! We were attacked on our own soil! Bush had every right to attack back, it was necessary to our safety!

I can't discuss it with you without first giving you a course on the background of all the events leading up to 9-11 to give you the proper perspective in which to assess the actions (or inactions) of both the Bush and Obama Presidencies...
but that would clearly conflict with your geometry homework.
