asked for both novels for christmas

My quick review of Batman Resurrection and Revolution. Both are great, and they fill out some plot holes left between 89 and Returns. It was hard to read Batman's voice in Michael Keaton's voice, however. I kept hearing the late Kevin Conroy. He was a bit chatty for the Keaton version. It was easy to read Commissioner Gordon, Alfred and Harvey Dent in the voices of Pat Hingle, Michael Gough, and Billy Dee Williams, though, among other voices from the movies. It's not fan service, but they are both great reads, and I recommend them (as well as the Batman 89 graphic novel by the film's screenwriter Sam Hamm). So @Risico007 I hope that Santa leaves them under the tree at Christmas time.

re: your final sentence in that paragraph above: Perhaps you should have a movie camera ready...Maybe call it: Santa Returns....

One scene could be: (young child) Who ARE you ?!!?
(Santa,, sotto voce, deep low pitch) I'm Santa Claus...

From what I've read, I am unclear --- is there going to be another Robert Pattinson Batman film ? I hope so. His first was Excellent, and he was excellent and so were the others in the film.

Yes, there'll be a Batman Part 2 coming in 2027. Matt Reeves and seemingly a lot of the first film's cast are back (although seemingly no Zoe Kravitz, but obviously now Scarlet Johansson is on board).

Do we know why Zoe isn't likely to come back?

I think the simple answer is because Catwoman left Gotham at the end of the first one and said she didn’t want to come back. I think this next one takes place not long after the first.

I presume her absence will be a factor in Part 2 for Batman, and assuming a third one is a possibility she may well return (or indeed even come back at the very end of this one). But I think it’s just a story thing, and for now I suppose that character’s story finished in the first one.

I see. I find that regrettable. I truly liked Zoe's Catwoman. She reminded me of Frank Miller's Catwoman in Year One.

Oh yeah, I thought she was great. But I can understand how if a sequel was being written it’d be tricky finding a good angle to bring her back immediately. In fact it’s probably more interesting leaving her behind for a bit (obviously Bruce rejected the offer to go away with her at the end of the first, and it’d be interesting if she came back for a third and we hear about what she’s been up to).

I don’t know who Nocturna is (not a comic book person and have only read limited amounts of Batman ones). From what I read above that’d probably be a bit too fantastical for these films. Could be a spin on the character though. The other possibilities I guess are some of these: https://comicbookmovie.com/batman/the-batman/the-batman-part-ii-5-most-likely-characters-scarlett-johansson-could-be-playing-in-matt-reeves-sequel-a225329#:~:text=Silver St. Cloud,Batman were the same person.

Silver St. Cloud seems a good fit. Bruce coming out of his recluse stage and having lost Catwoman makes him struggling with a relationship (and of course juggling it with Batman) quite interesting and gives that all a fresh spin, even though it’s not exactly a new story idea in Batman. The fact that she works out his secret seems thematically fitting with The Batman, and it could be pretty new if she figures it out earlier in the story. Perhaps the relationship is even a bit one sided with Bruce still hung up on Selina and dating Silver partly as a ‘cover’ to cement his Bruce Wayne persona, or at least goes into it initially for that reason. Potentially quite a tragic character and a very messy relationship for Batman! But again, not familiar with her and I don’t believe the character was ever in the animated series.
