Bit of a damp squib announcement considering the name's been public for months! :D

This Q Mysteries series is definitely the weirdest and most left field official literary Bond product released thus far. There is definitely a self-parody or satirical element to it as the jumbled title letters in that Instagram reveal advert show. I know we've had similar humour in the Bond films for years but it strikes a somewhat discordant note to see it in the literary Bond sphere now as well. Ah, well. At least it's only a Bond spin-off and not actual literary Bond. However, that said, I still have my reservations about this series...

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned getting this yet.

It's out today and, to be fair, I have seen it getting good reviews everywhere. I might even give it a go: I must admit I find the premise more interesting that Sherwood's slightly faceless collection of anonymous Double O agents.

Things come in three's, it seems. This week, three of my favorite franchises had a new novel released: Quantum of Menace (Bond), Batman Revolution and Star Wars: The Last Order. At least two of the three novels are getting good reviews. I also got to see Batman Revolution launched by its author, John Jackson Miller. He signed a copy for me!

There’s a Guardian review out there too, maybe some other newspapers.

Great interview and some details on what’s to come! I hope a USA release day is coming soon. I’m also surprised no one on here is talking about or reading the book.

I mentioned earlier Amazon.co.uk (viewed as the UK selection on screen, from my US location) offered Quantum of Menace. (But did not display for me on Amazon.com).

So I ordered it from the UK, for delivery to the US. Shipped 5 November, received this day 13 August 2025.
