Good commentary @ToTheRight, DAD for me is Carry On Bond (a Carry On movie) the first two acts are fun, the third act though is bloody dreadful.

Thanks, @Fire_and_Ice_Returns. Indeed. The film, as much as I enjoyed this viewing, still ranks at the bottom for me.

It is a very strange film, with that very grim opening, especially when Bond walks down the bridge in the mist.
And then, we're going from a betrayal, a search for a villain to...... gen therapy and an invisible car. Tha latter probably beeing the worst crime, considering how beautiful and iconic the AM Vanquish is.

There's a lion, there's a gunbarrel, and there's a huge skeleton. It's spectre. Love the opening shot. I thin it's one of the longest continuous shots. And what a girl. Pity we see so little of her.

Bottoms' up. And a bit more. And he lands on his bottom. I remember seeing this in the cinema and beeing impressed. The collapse of the building is a bit too much CGI though. Not helped by the filter. If it were more natural colours, i think it would've looked better.

They're fighting in the bolkow helicopter. The Dutch air force used to have helicopters like that. Apparently very agile machines. It's some insane aerobatics they're doing here. Very exciting!

What a start to the movie! Still am not very fond of it. Lets see how I like the rest of it in this viewing. The PTS is very, very impressive.

We suddenly see shards of the previous Craig Bond films in the titles, reminiscing ohmss. Not too fond of the song tbh.

Oh god, yes, now I remember. 'the double oh programme' instead of section. Bond beeing an arse to M, and that annoying 'c'. Bombastic bull about 'bringing intelligence into the light'.
Cringe. Civil servants don't talk like that.
The whole service knowing what bond did in Mexico. This script isn't good.

Why would mi6 have a file on temporary guardianship of an employee of his youth.

I do like the q scene though. Especially the 'bring back one piece' joke. Wishaw is definitely carving his own q personality.

    Can't you see I'm grieving?
    No.

And here he saves her from execution. Fantastic scene. Similar use of music to the QoS opera scene. And it works really well.

I wonder if Felix did save her. If she contacted him. Something for the 'what became of...' thread.

That guy on the left when bond walks into the meeting was playing with him at the table at casino royale.

I understand they couldn't have Blofeld talk out loud like in thunderball for he would be revealed at such an open setting. But these long silences aren't impressive, or creating fear. They're a bit boring. And suddenly he looks up to Bond. Knowing where he stands. It just doesn't work. He should've been sitting behind a screen with a commanding voice like in thunderball.

And the famous chase with two concept cars through an empty Rome. Rome is never that empty, not even at two a.m.
Love the 009 set-up of the Aston though.

Bond in a snowy landscape in Austria. That does look good, that's for sure.

Keeping up with the surveillance theme, a lot of screens in the secret room.
Why would spectre try to kill white when they managed to put thallium in his phone?
Still, he sells it good enough. Love this scene.

' and then you have to look him in the eye'. Worst argument ever. There are plenty of arguments against total surveillance and humint, but that's just bollocks (allowed on the forum as per Richard Branson).

And here's the lovely Madeleine swan. Why so threatening to her. He could've introduced himself completely different.

Nice how the spectre guy is letting q analyse the ring without anyone else present in the cable car. Must've never heard of a thing called 'internet'.

What is Bond trying to do flying that low anyway? Now he's clipped his wings. I don't know why the car doesn't just stop. It's not like Bond can in his motorised sled.

Ok, so how does a ring get DNA of all those people on it, and how does this connect them to Oberhauser? I'm sorry, this script is absolutely not working. I can suspend believe a couple of times, but not throughout the whole film. No matter how good the acting is.
Love the riad in marocco. Stayed in places like that when I was there. They're absolutely fantastic.

Love that train! Mine was good, but not that good, travelling in Marokko. Then again, it didn't stop at those places either.
Why does bond have a Sig gun?
Thankfully, Madeleine knows how to handle them.

Why does he expect Blofeld to send a car? I just don't get this part.
