I am not kidding that is one of the longest games of football I have watched, deserved win for United.

    Give Maguire a new contract.

Gakpo had a few chances at the end.
I said earlier in the season that it's going to be a close title fight.
Salah magic needed for us as usual (7-8 years)

I was surprised Salah was subbed off, United only 2 points behind Liverpool now. Football is a funny old gam.

Bruno pass for the winner was world class.

I wasn't surprised Salah was subbed off, Frimpong and Chiesa coming on looked good.
Maybe it's better if Salah is on the bench next game and comes on as a "super sub" to find form ? Gotta play the in form players.

Ekitike should have started ? The manager made some mistakes.
I've been saying for 2 seasons we need more defenders........

Bruno has carried the team for years and a good finish from Harry who almost left the club so many times over the years.

Ekitike signing arguably meant you did not need Isak, Liverpool have a serious full back issue.

They needed another striker/forward because they lost Jota,Diaz,Darwin.
Didn't need another mid,Wirtz, especially at that price.

Let's have a look at gameweek 8 before the gameweek 9 deadline tonight! With an average of 56 points, down from 60 points the previous gameweek, this was still a round that saw managers scoring good scores. Many managers in our league comfortably beat the average score, but none did better than Red Warriors, scoring 81 points. Congratulations! =D>

A long week for me, so I haven't had much time for football. Did find time to watch Arsenal beating Atletico Madrid midweek though. The first half was so-so, without many chances, but I love how the team looked in the second half. Easily one of the better performances of many of the players so far this season.

Here are the gameweek 9 captaincy picks!
    Haaland: 9
    Salah: 2
    João Pedro: 1
    Gibbs-White: 1
    Gyökeres: 1
    Semenyo: 1

No surprises in the captaincy picks this week. On current form it's hard to look past Haaland. Still, six managers have looked elsewhere with their captaincy picks. Out of these, only Salah is captained by more than one manager.

United unlucky not to get a penalty IMO, its pretty even at Old Trafford after 20 minutes, Brighton have been a bogey team in recent years will be tough.

Get in Cunha opens his account for United, good goal.

Casemiro goal what a wicked deflection i will take it. Probably an own goal.

3 - 0 Mbeumo come on United. We are starting to click and play good football.

No way was that a yellow to Dorgu or a freekick, dangerous free kick to Brighton.

    Welbeck goal great freekick.

    United need to be careful.

3 - 2 oh dear. 5 minutes left of injury time to go.

I was going to say after the game Amorim's habit of subbing defenders is a concern, he keeps doing it and its causing problems. In this game he subbed two defenders at the same time and we dropped off immediately.

4 - 2 Mbeumo get in what a player, should have not been this difficult though up to 4th in the table after 3 wins in a row.

It is early days though we are improving, midfield is still an issue and need another left wing back.

Good day for United with Liverpool and Chelsea losing, would not have thought it would be possible to be ahead of both in the league a month ago, football changes fast.

Konate for that second Brentford goal, he just gave up

Liverpool should play with a sweeper ?

I think they need some team building exercises as the body language is not good, saying that there is too much quality in the squad they should turn it around.

This is one of the worst GW's I have ever had playing the game, most of my team in recent weeks not doing anything.

The way things are I want my captain to blank so City lose as it means United are level on points.

Nervy finish Arsenal v Palace can the gunners hold on for 6 minutes of injury time...

1 nil to the Arsenal George Graham style, Arteta will likely win the league through attrition and I don't blame him.

I needed the points just to retain my league position, my team is pretty bad will have to take a few hits to sort out issues.

Liverpool not yet in freefall as I kind of understand the line up from last night, but god Slot needs to beat Villa at the weekend.

Slot complaining about squad depth is hilarious when you see the money Liverpool spent in the summer, UK media are going in on Slot big time.

Slot has been struggling for awile.
Knocked out of the FA cup first round, losing the ELC final playing so badly, bad end to the season, losing the charity shield and now everyone who predicted Liverpool to win the title this season is dumbfounded.......

I said before the start of the season that teams would play on the counter attack against them and that's what's happening most of the time.

I don't know why he "rested" so many players as he should have been looking to win the game and so did the fans at the stadium and those watching it on tv around the world ?.

With half an hour to go before the next deaedline, let's have a quick look at gameweek 8! With an average score of 46 points, down 10 points on average from gameweek 7, this was a much less exciting week for many managers. This was also reflected in the scores in our league – still, there were a few exceptions – one being our gameweek winner Mejico POWA, scoring 71 points. Congratulations! =D>

Being a bit busy, I missed a lot of the football last weekend and during midweek. Looking at the table, things are really looking open right now!
