    I agree mate. It was the Bond series at a crossroads. Thankfully Cubby chose the right road with TSWLM.

    Golden Gun is still better than DAF and DAD though...

    Or is it? The tiny jet flies huge distances with the rocket on its heels judging by the background, but at the end the plane that was to be sabotaged, is gone. Would love to see Bond do a similar job again. Sabotage, proper spying. That sort of thing.

    Ok, the tennis joke with people looking left and right is as bad as the double taking pigeon. Pity, the film does the gritty parts pretty good. Even with Moore-Bond jokes.

    Ah, I got it wrong with the 'tiger hunt', Kamal is indeed about to hunt Bond, he hears in his study that Bond has escaped. He just thought he'd already left the palace. (Discussion in another thread). Neither 'sit' nor Tarzan yell I like. The economy tour remark is very funny though

    Agree when the tone is more serious Octopussy is a good film, they went too over the top in certain parts of the film with site gags, usually during action set pieces.
