That U9 is a good example of the slightly bland, forgettable supercar design that's around, and the current Ferraris are not that at least. Usually they're very beautiful, the 849 isn't my favourite of recent ones.

If it's a Chinese brand it's a Chinese design. We don't call BMWs Korean when they had a Korean designer. Don't be silly with me.

Does it really matter what country makes a car ?
A lot of people hate Tesla's because of Musk.

Why would James Bond drive a Chinese car, the implication being a paid partnership? As opposed to a British car? It can be written into the story but I don't like the idea.

Yes Maybe if the studio gets a offer they can't refuse it will happen ? or maybe if it's filmed in China ?
Didn't you like Bond driving a BMW either ?

How about driving a Lotus 7, but then, sort of, further developed?

My view on this is that Bond is a fellow of style and elegance, and since budgetary restraints do not need to be considered, he would always drive a stylish car, which means by defintion he would prefer a European one (just imo, of course :) ). Same goes for watches, it would be out of character for James Bond to wear an apple watch or whatever that's called. I'd like my Bond to appreciate timeless elegance. Or you might as well give him a baseball cap for the next film.

Yep, I'll be there tomorrow and Sunday. Trying to decide on an outfit as the weather is a bit changeable!

    Nice or Ugly ?

Neither, rather forgettable. It gives me a Corvette-vibe.

You should get a (grey) Anthony Sinclair suit like the one bond wore in DN or GF for such an occasion.
I'd love to get one for myself, stunning suits. The GOAT of suits ? 🏆
A tuxedo would be nice too.

Not sure they’d have coped in the conditions! To be honest I like to dress like a guy in the 50s/60s attending a race meeting as a spectator, I don’t go too formal. Lots of amazing outfits and even more incredible cars though. And I happened to stroll past three F1 world champions at different points.

Yeah it’s fun, I’ll try to dig out some photos. Might look a bit grimmer than usual in that weather! My ears are still ringing from some of the Grand Prix cars too!

That's extraordinary. I don't know if I like it entirely as it's not really an Aston anymore, but it's certainly extremely impressive.

Yesterday, while waiting for the us at the local mall, I saw two interesting cars. First, a new Renault 4 :

All I can say is that it doesn't look anything like the Renault 4 which I used to drive all those years ago in the 80s.

And then, I saw a Renault Rafale.

First time I saw any of these two cars.

I agree that the Renault 4 e-tech doesn't look anything like the original from the 60s to the early 90s (!). I still think that it is an interesting-looking electric compact vehicle. Just too expensive for a second car used for shopping and driving around in the area.

As for the Rafale, I think the attempt to cash in on the jet's name is preposterous. It's just yet another plug-in hybrid mini-SUV, neither fish nor flesh. I can't tell most of them apart any more until I see the badge.

When you say it looks nothing like a Renault 4, do you literally mean you can't see the resemblance at all or just that it's not got that same tinny aesthetic as the old one? I think they've updated the shape rather nicely and there's quite a lot of similarities, but more than that I think it's just a really cool-looking car. I love both the R4 and the R5, they're great. Weirdly I saw one parked in the next street a few months back; I'm not sure if a car journo had it or something as I don't think they were on sale then.

The Rafale, I don't know if I've seen one or not to be honest; as you say JW, it's just another car.
