Haven't caught it yet! :D I guess it's probably Disney+ for me at this rate. Did you see it?

We have a very active thread to discuss Marvel films.
Please stay on topic @MSL49 and @mtm
Del Toro is a special case. He's notorious for dropping out of projects and then whining about how the producers/studio couldn't meet his terms.
Villeneuve has backed out of a few things, but not at the rate of Del Toro, and certainly not as late in the process.
Yeah. That's true.
Again, of mice and men. Everything just seems too serene at the moment, everything slotting into place, everyone getting along. It's like we're waiting for the other shoe to drop.
You think cameras will roll early 2027 and the film will premiere in fall? We're not on EON's schedule anymore, it's going to take at least a year from start of filming to release.
I respectfully disagree. Once everything is in place, it'll be wheels on the ground. I mean how long does it take to film? Expect an announcement and press conference in December 2026
Let's just say that's the case and you're correct. That would mean that they completely made the new Bond including finding the producers to make it, in around 2 years and 8 to 9 months. That is very fast indeed, considering they have to recast Bond in that time. David Heyman would be living up to his Harry Potter reputation of rapid production.
It depends on preparation time and what they need to shoot, and ultimately edit (in the general post production sense - editing, sound, VFX etc. A lot of this runs congruent to the filming dependent on what they shoot).
With Bond, I guess you're looking at roughly 6-7 months of shooting if we take most of the newer films as reference. They generally have a schedule to keep to. A few more months to finalise post-production can be added onto that.
They could conceivably start filming in late 2026/early 2027 and have it out by November or possibly even October 2027.
I suspect in practice a lot of this stuff runs, to whatever extent, simultaneously (ie. early casting/line reading can happen as the script is being written, but maybe not official screen-tests. I don't see any reason why the producers wouldn't be looking at getting locations or potential dates for shoots in certain places even if they have initial ideas/a script isn't finalised yet).
