Dune 3 is expected to shoot until January 2026, Pattinson is expected to shoot Batman 2 in the spring. Considering this, post-production on Dune 3 should be finished by late summer 2026 for a winter release.
Therefore, I think, there is still enough time for Bond 26 to shoot November 2026-March 2027, to premiere at the end of 2027.
On more of a story level, I don't know exactly what he'll bring. I can imagine his villain having something quite twisted in their motives (not dissimilar to the last three - not something personal necessarily, but it'll be more nuanced than just wanting to blow up the world or whatever).
You're right.
DV adapted to screen a book by José Saramago! Cmon, who else can do that and get away with it? He's a true master. His favorite director is Kubrick. Kubrick could do it all, 2001 or Barry Lyndon. I say we're in for a treat.
And he takes them from behind:
Which makes perfect sense as a Québécois.
:)) Don't think I've ever seen that clip before.
So we can have some ideas of DV's directing of a Bond film:
-He's going to take the Bond girls from behind. With the camera.
-He's going to come on Bond's face.
-And, last but not least, the actor playing Bond must f**k us.
Sounds good to me!
Hi! Nope, after 14 years there ... back in the U.S.
I'll send you a PM. :)
Yes, this^.
Amazon is sticking with Eon-favored personnel, Pascal and now Villeneuve. So I expect the Eon tropes to be there (the gunbarrel, title song, theme, etc.). Is Villeneuve on record talking about any of the Bond novels?
Is Dune or Dune 2 close to the novels? There's hope.
Bond 25?
Double Identities?
Yes, there's more than one person who doesn't like No time to die. Shocking, I know.
Yeah I did wonder...
I'm thinking they don't want to rush it and they will take their time. I'm thinking 2028 or 2029. Its interesting how it sounded like he would be doing more then one film I hope we don't go over kill on the story arch but time will tell. P and W had thier time and their scripts were stale and the process to write it was too stale too it was just too bland the same consist slop. The is bond outdated threats of the world stuff was getting old. It's time for something new fresh and exciting.
His Dune films and Blade Runner 2049 get a lot of the attention these days and they're fantastic films, but if you're unfamiliar with his filmography or just discovering him I'd HIGHLY recommend Sicario, Prisoners, and Arrival.
Part of me is generally excited that someone of Denis Villeneuve's calibre has been attached to Bond 26. It sort of signals that Amazon are quite serious about taking the Bond franchise forwards. Of course, it'll either sink or swim based on who is finally cast as Bond.
I won't add anymore as it'll only be speculative and might upset some of the easily offended here.
