Bond doesn't do brand adverts before the role. Seismic timing is everything.

I'm not saying ATJ would be Bond, but I believe Brosnan did some brand ads before he became James Bond.

Any evidence mate? Be interesting to see. Besides, it's a different age of exposure. That's my marketing theory anyway.

    Yeah. I understand.

And that's why I've not done any Guinness adverts.

Went to see the new Mission Impossible on Thursday, there was a teaser for 28 Years Later before it with ATJ, hearing his voice over made me cringe. His voice is so high pitched and flat sounding. What made it worse was it was followed by Ralph Fiennes unmistakable voice that just commands your attention

I know it's such a daft thing to be hung up on, but his voice and general presence don't feel Bondian to me at all. He feels like an ally at best. I just can't see as a tough leading man.

If ATJ was announced as Bond #7 after years of waiting, I'd be disappointed to say the least

I do understand the ATJ voice thing. But most times, the direction film producers want to take, influences their leading man choice. Craig's whisper is clearly deeper than ATJ's voice. It's only normal trying to picture ATJ in Craig's shoes, because Craig was the last Bond...and it's definitely going to be hard to envisage it.
But what I'm trying to say in essence is, whoever Amazon unveils to us as Bond, is most likely the person that suits their vision for the next era....not that I'm trying to say ATJ is going to be Bond, but just saying the next Bond might not resonate with fans, until the first trailer is out. But if he's immediately liked during his unveiling, then cool. But I'm just trying to prepare myself for the actor they'll pick, so it doesn't shock me.

My biggest concern about ATJ is that he's a very one dimensional actor. Not bad - far from it - but not interesting. He's been cast in some great roles but he does so little with them. I have no reason to believe it'd be any different with Bond.

He does tend to get cast as supporting roles mainly, I don't think he's a lead either.

    I got a great idea!

Get a random actor to wear a fake Omega watch. Take photos of him. Put the photos on social media and voila... hundreds of "he's the next Bond!" comments!

I'm watching The Capture. It's a good if overly melodramatic thriller so far, and Callum Turner is good in it too, that said I find him way too blokeish for Bond. Yes, he's playing a role, but still. And if people thought Craig didn't look like Bond when he was cast, they'd have a fit with Callum. At times he reminds me of a buff manly version of Mr Bean.

If Craig looked like a Steve McQueen's stunt double, Turner looks like the brother of a movie star.

Anyway, I've noticed that he has already worked with Heyman.

Could put him in a good position. I still can't see him as Bond, but I'm slowly warming up to the possibility.

Hope so. I really do not want ATJ anywhere near Bond.

I know this has been discussed, and it's more likely that Omega's collaboration with Aaron Taylor-Johnson is independent of the James Bond franchise. However, for the sake of speculation, I've been considering this scenario...

ATJ may have been close to securing the role of James Bond, possibly progressing to the point where associated deals, like the Omega partnership, were already underway. However, behind-the-scenes developments could have caused the casting process to stall.

When Amazon, Michael and Barbara announced a new joint venture, granting Amazon MGM Studios creative control over the James Bond franchise, with Michael and Barbara stepping back, this transition may have led to a pause in the casting process to reassess the franchise's direction. Even if ATJ was in serious discussions or had a preliminary agreement, the shift in creative control could have delayed any official announcements. Meanwhile, the Omega campaign proceeded.

In this context, the Omega partnership with ATJ might not be a direct hint at his casting as Bond but rather a remnant of earlier plans that were disrupted by the evolving dynamics within the franchise's leadership.

This may make no sense, but just a thought.

It might be in part to do with the Bond rumours and how it's become entwined with his rising star. But I'd be shocked if it were any sort of direct indication about him being cast.

I don't doubt that he was talking to them: I saw him and his wife with my own eyes at a big Bond event which Broccoli and Wilson were also attending- I don't doubt he wants it. But many do, and they've spoken to pretty much every British leading man of the last 30 years, and very few actually get it. Well: two, to be precise in that timeframe!

Maybe they don't understand the spirit of Bond like I do. Time goes on, pressure builds.

There was also him booking the GoldenEye estate in Jamaica at the height of the rumors.

Those ATJ James Bond rumours were heavy then. Who knows...maybe he's the one Barbara really wanted. No one can really tell, though. But, yeah...

The dude is made of the element cringeonium and has the voice of a flamboyant trans man. Make of that what you will.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to write that, other than to act like they are full of "cringeonium" themselves.

This rings true, wouldn't even be surprised. The cringe that keeps on cringing.

I don't like him as an actor, but I don't see anything extraordinarily awkward/cringey about him in these clips if I'm honest...
