Bond doesn't do brand adverts before the role. Seismic timing is everything.

I'm not saying ATJ would be Bond, but I believe Brosnan did some brand ads before he became James Bond.

Any evidence mate? Be interesting to see. Besides, it's a different age of exposure. That's my marketing theory anyway.

    Yeah. I understand.

And that's why I've not done any Guinness adverts.

Went to see the new Mission Impossible on Thursday, there was a teaser for 28 Years Later before it with ATJ, hearing his voice over made me cringe. His voice is so high pitched and flat sounding. What made it worse was it was followed by Ralph Fiennes unmistakable voice that just commands your attention

I know it's such a daft thing to be hung up on, but his voice and general presence don't feel Bondian to me at all. He feels like an ally at best. I just can't see as a tough leading man.

If ATJ was announced as Bond #7 after years of waiting, I'd be disappointed to say the least

I do understand the ATJ voice thing. But most times, the direction film producers want to take, influences their leading man choice. Craig's whisper is clearly deeper than ATJ's voice. It's only normal trying to picture ATJ in Craig's shoes, because Craig was the last Bond...and it's definitely going to be hard to envisage it.
But what I'm trying to say in essence is, whoever Amazon unveils to us as Bond, is most likely the person that suits their vision for the next era....not that I'm trying to say ATJ is going to be Bond, but just saying the next Bond might not resonate with fans, until the first trailer is out. But if he's immediately liked during his unveiling, then cool. But I'm just trying to prepare myself for the actor they'll pick, so it doesn't shock me.

My biggest concern about ATJ is that he's a very one dimensional actor. Not bad - far from it - but not interesting. He's been cast in some great roles but he does so little with them. I have no reason to believe it'd be any different with Bond.

He does tend to get cast as supporting roles mainly, I don't think he's a lead either.
