That red was a little harsh ... lol.

Rarely has a footballer looked so naturally innocent as Evanilson. Something to do with that seemingly omnipresent smile.

But happy to see United score, it helps me in my mini-league.

Sending Rashford out on loan still seems crazy to me.

Word is they're in for Cunha but why he would want to go there eludes me. No Champions League for one, but also a club where players seem to get worse not better ....

Mo "selfie" Salah, he did not blank.

He and his team crushed Spurs.

    CONGRATS to Liverpool fans!

Cunha is probably the kind of player we need, he has a edge to him. Currently United have too many players who xant handle the pressure of playing for the club.

As a Man United fan I avoided all coverage of the team that won the league 😂

    ---

Barca vs Inter was great, good advert for football.

I still think Arsenal have a chance to go through.

I think Inter will be CL winners.

(Edit: I completely forgot that gameweek 34 isn't finished, so I have removed the part about gameweek 34 for now). Here's a late look at the last two gameweeks! With blank gameweeks and chips in play, it's no surprise to see a big swing in points scored, depending on how each manager's team is set up, and the chips they have to play. With average scores of 56 and 56 (again) respectively in gameweek 32 and 33, it's fun to see several managers in our league scoring way beyond the average. Congratulations to Dinamo Skruknott and Liverpool Richmond as our last two gameweek winners! =D>

Missed a lot of football the last few weeks myself, with the exception of the Arsenal-PSG game. Arsenal missed Partey, but there's no excuse to deliver such a poor performance. Ødegaard missing in a huge game again, which is why I've always been sceptical of him; great at times, but not so much when you desperately need him to perform magic.

3rd place FH gamble in our mini-league.

Went without Isak and captained Cunha, which paid off. Also Ait-Nouri & Sa returned for me.

No Salah today, but three other Pool plus Evanilson have me hoping I might overtake, or at least get closer, to 1st place .... but I really need Salah to blank.

Great captaincy call, @Feyador! I never really considered that move myself, and can only blame myself in hindsight for not thinking outside the box. That move could have taken me closer to the lead in the money league I'm in too…

Wouldn't mind Cunha at Arsenal, but nothing suggests they are in for him. I expect Arsenal to make a failed bid for Isak in the summer, then having to do a lot of work deciding on the "next best" option.

Well I did not see that coming, great first half for United away to Bilbao 3 - 0 up could have been more. Bilbao down to ten men we could end the tie tonight.

Surely we have learnt our lessons from Lyon and won't capitulate...

Mbeumo and Marmoush seem to be popular captains this gw ?

Will Arsenal, Sp*rs, manu 👿 rest players this gw ?

Liverpool might rotate Darwin, Jota start ?

Emotional night credit to Mason Mount for a superb substitute performance.

I still worth about the final as we are too easy to play against, Spurs have to be favourites.

FPL made one free transfer, I still have my triple captain chip to play its going to be shear luck me getting anything from that.

Lot's of decisions to decide on, and players that might not see much game time. These final gameweeks will be very tricky for FPL managers, no doubt!

I'm a bit behind on my gameweek write ups, so let's have a look at gameweek 34 and 35! These last couple of gameweek have quite a bit of variance in points scored. The unpredictability of the run-in of the season and chips managers have left, plays a huge part in this. With an average score of 47 and 41 points respectively in gameweek 34 and 35, it's fun to see that, yet again, that managers in our league do really well against the average scores. Congratulations to JuncoPartner and Dinamo Skruknott, sharing the gameweek 34 top spot, and to Maybe This Time, our gameweek 35 winner! =D>

It really depends on if you think it's better to use the chip this gameweek, or in GW 37/38. I think there are upsides to all of them really – which might not be of much help! :))

I might have done a risky, last minute -4…

At this stage probably worth it, I have not taken many hits this season which was probably a mistake.

I missed the deadline so Triple Captain is active, my chip strategy this season... well I did not have a strategy 😂

Here are the gameweek 36 captaincy picks!
    Salah: 5
    Mbuemo: 3
    Wood: 2
    Marmoush: 2
    Mitoma: 1
    Maddison: 1
    Saka: 1
    Wissa: 1
    Cunha: 1

It's been a while since I last did these – sorry about that. There are several good captaincy options this gameweek, which is reflected in the captaincy picks in our league as well. Salah is the most captained player, backed by five managers. Mbuemo, captained by three managers and Wood and Marmoush, captained by two managers each, are the only other players that are backed by more than one manager. Good luck everyone!

The hits I have taken this season have not worked out great for the most part, which is partly why my moves were a bit risky (Haaland, Schade and Wissa in for Marmoush, Mateta and Salah). I need to take a punt if I want to close the gap in the money leagye I'm competing in.

Wood is a good option this week though! I did consider him as an option to Wissa, but decided to try something a bit different with Haaland.

City blanking makes the race for the CL spots really interesting. Arsenal have two tough fixtures coming up, then Southampton on the final day. Seeing as City couldn't break them down, I expect a tougher game than one might think.

For me, Arsenal were only better than PSG in glimpses over the two games, and the start of the second leg first half. Other than that, PSG seemed really comfortable with whatever Arsenal threw at them. Bizarre for Arteta to say that…

I think Liverpool will be on the beach now, Arsenal really should win today as there are points to play for. Your team must get a striker next season, watching Arsenal recently it feels like they are the same as two seasons ago and other teams especially in Europe have improved.

Arsenal weren't miles better but also that's takes into account we were losing for 176/180 minutes of the tie. If the game was level for longer, PSG would have put their foot on the gas more

Here's a quick look at gameweek 36 before the gameweek 37 deadline tonight! With an average score of 43 points, gameweek 36 wasn't a particularly high scoring gameweek – on paper, that is. Many managers, in our league too, beat the average score comfortably, and could see decent green arrows. Best in our league this time around was Dinamo Skruknott, scoring 8 points.

Let's have a look at how our league did in the penultimate gameweek of the 2024/25 season, before we head into the final gameweek of the season! These final gameweeks are tricky to navigate. Some teams (and players) are on the beach, while others still have everything to play for. A long season also increases the likelihood of injuries, so you can never really be too sure how your team will perform. This unpredictability also shows in the points scored. The overall average was just 39 points in gameweek 37, which is one of the lowest of the season. Even for the more engaged managers, the scores varied – our league no different. Best in our league in gameweek 37 was PALESTINE, scoring 65 points. Congratulations! =D>

Who's your ideal striker/forward ? Cunha, Watkins etc

Liverpool need a striker/forward too as i think Darwin and Chiesa will go ?

That's a good question. Cunha looks to be Man United bound, and I've seen no clear indication from the more reliable sources (such as David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano) if Arsenal were really that interested in him. The Watkins interest have been documented, and I think Arsenal could have benefitted from getting him to strengthen the team in the title chase this year. Beyond this season, I really don't know. He's almost 30, which isn't going to give you a player that can develop and contribute for many seasons ahead.

All the talk now is about Viktor Gyokeres or Benjamin Šeško. Rumours has it that Arteta favours Šeško, and sporting director Andrea Berta prefers Gyokeres. If there is anything true to this, or if the links to those two players are as concrete as some reports suggests, I guess only very few people know! With Šeško, you get a player that can become a good striker I think, but needs more development, while Gyokeres, a little bit older, has proven himself as one of the better strikers in Europe – but he also plays in Portugal, so who knows how he will perform in a bigger league? I think I prefer Gyokeres personally though.

Darwin has been rumoured to a move to Saudi Arabia, isn't he? I can see Liverpool attracting a lot of interest from players and their agents this summer. They can probably pick and choose, which is a great position to be in.

Terrible final, I said it weeks ago this appointment won't work.

Didn't get the chance to see it, but at least I didn't have to see Sp*rs lifting an European trophy. I wonder how United will approach this transfer window. Obviously the squad needs an overhaul, and I guess if they need to raise funds, even Bruno Fernandes might become a sellable asset… I guess it's now and going forward we truly will see if Rúben Amorim. From what I've seen so far, I'm really not sure, but the same could have been said of Arteta too.

I have two free transfers as totally forgot last GW and did nothing to my team, my FPL season mirrors United's atrocious season. I have become apathetic toward football, I am very happy the World Cup is a year away, I need a break from football.

After Arsenal failing to keep up with Liverpool, I've been more than ready for a break too. Even from FPL! I will be playing the Norwegian and the Swedish fantasy games during the PL break, and as soon as the game is launched for the 2025/26 season, I will spend a lot of times on making drafts.

This summer will be huge for several teams. A lot of work will be dome in board rooms in the coming months.

Don't forget the "World Cup" next month..........
The FIFA Club World Cup is starting in mid June.

Has Zubimendi signed yet ? Do you want/need another mid ?

  • Desperately need another midfielder in my opinion, but a creative/advanced one to try replicate the dual threat Xhaka had. Zubimendi is used to playing deeper but then again so was Xhaka so I'm lightly optimistic for his signing. More importantly though is a striker and a left winger.
