I'll never forget seeing it in theaters opening night, sitting next to my high school crush in the front row the whole time and not caring about her presence at all because I was so blown away by what I was watching. All this talk has me wanting to rewatch it.

Planning on it tonight to kick off my Bondathon!

4th place can be honourable mentions, and 5th place just bottom finishes I guess ;)

Ok did a rough count, here are the GOLD medals:

    CR: 119
    QOS: 4
    SF: 27
    SP: 3
    NTTD: 20

I’m including all the lists, even duplicates with minor changes, bc I don’t have enough time. Will post the SILVER medals soon.

Who else has QoS as #1 alongside myself? I went through and saw @Thunderfinger and @M_Balje had listed it, didn't go back far enough to see the fourth.

I haven't done a ranking here, but QOS is also my favorite of Craig's. Brilliant film.

CR had the benefit of working directly from Fleming, but I feel that more so than anyone Forster really got the essence of Bond. He delivered an excellent blend of Fleming Bond and movie Bond and also got out of Craig his best performance in the part. I could quibble about a couple action scenes being edited a tad too frenetically, but when it comes down to it, out of Craig's five films, this is the Bond I want to see more of.

Absolutely, which explains my disappointment after wholeheartedly loving QoS in 2008 and waiting four years for something entirely different in SF. QoS was everything I wanted from the series and wasn't ready for something so jarringly different only one film later.

It helps that it's the shortest. But I think it's also the one of Craigs I've rewatched the most--equal parts frustrating and invigorating. With better editing and perhaps fewer action scenes, I'd rank it higher. The dramatic scenes are some of the best in Craig's run.

QOS felt very Fleming to me. The brief moment with Greene talking to Camille about his childhood crush felt like a classic little flavor of wild villain background in a book.

Same. Still remember the sinking feeling I had when I first heard they were going for gags and a lighter feel in Bond23! In the end, most of SF wasn't as bad as I feared, but it was such a big drop off from QOS. My biggest regret of the whole series is the retreat back to more familiar, safer territory after QOS. 'QOS was everything I wanted from the series' - couldn't agree more.

    QoS FTW!
I feel like SF is starting to get underrated these days, yes, critically, it's overrated but many fans are bashing that movie. Even in the MI6 favorite film thread, no one's voting for SF, the position for SF was still clear of names.

    1. SF
    2. NTTD
    3. CR
    4. QoS
    5. SP

    Love them all.
Almost feel like switching out QoS and CR, but would feel weird to have CR so low.

Funny how time works, isn't it? I know not everyone participates in those but I'm surprised just how few people give upvotes to SF/Mendes in certain games.

    @Venutius, couldn't agree more!

I can see the flaws in SF more clearly now (the biggest one IMO being the immediate jump from the end of QoS where Bond has finally become "half monk, half hitman", to him being a long serving veteran who might be past it), but I still massively enjoy it. I can forgive the plotholes it's littered with because I have such a great time watching it, from start to finish.

It really does seem like SP is regarded as the weakest of the era then. That's nice to see.
  • No Time To Die
    1st - 20
    2nd - 36
    3rd - 57
    4th - 35
    5th - 22

Regarding whether or not No Time to Die is divisive on here, I think this spread says it all.

NTTD and QOS are the most polarizing it seems…

CR is a straight line up.
SP is a straight line down.
SF peaks at #2 then steadily runs down.

Interestingly, QOS has more #2 votes than #3 as its fans (like myself) are quite passionate.

    NTTD is a perfect triangle.
