Sean Connery: Outland Yes, really.
George Lazenby: Stoner. Just kidding, On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Roger Moore: The Man With The Golden Gun
Timothy Dalton: Loony Tunes Back In Action. Kidding again, License To Kill
Pierce Brosnan: Tomorrow Never Dies (but boy do I love November Man & After The Sunset...)
Daniel Craig: Knives Out

Anyone else here have interesting choices?

I'd have to think about it but I dropped by to share in appreciating Outland. I love that chase scene in which O'Niel goes after the guy with the drugs through the sleeping quarters and into the mess hall.

And all the little Bond nods, like the strangle scene & 'Mrs. Spectre'... but more than that, I just loved Connery in this very good version of High Noon. He was so great in this for me. Played off Sternhagen magnificently...

Peter, this breaks the rules of the thread! A favourite movie with possible follow up comments! I'll have to report you to myself! Me? Whatever. It's all good. :P

😂, I apologize. I misread the title. Blame a giant headache and a glass of red wine to temper it.

Brozza - The Foreigner, with Jackie Chan. He was quite good as Sinn Féin politician Liam Hennessy.

His Bond movies...Goldeneye...thereafter it became a law of diminishing returns with DAD being a complete turd.

Dalton....maybe Flash Gordon....everyone else was having fun in that movie but Dalton bought along his oh-so-serious acting chops lol. Bond movie - they're both equally good in my book.

Roger Moore - THE WILD GEESE....it's so good I put it in CAPS. Bond movie, FYEO

Gold was pretty good, eh? Or Shout At The Devil?

Sean Connery: Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. CR is probably the only Bond film I would put above this movie, as I've loved it dearly since I was a child and it's still the ultimate adventure film to me. Favorite Bond film of his is TB, with FRWL as a close second.
George Lazenby: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Haven't seen him in anything else.
Roger Moore: The Spy Who Loved Me. I consider TSWLM Moore's ultimate Bond film, and like Lazenby, I have not seen him in other films.
Timothy Dalton: Licence to Kill. Only seen him in a couple other movies, but not near as good as his Bond films.
Pierce Brosnan: GoldenEye. GE was his best Bond film by far, and while I love a couple other Brosnan films (Ghost Writer and Mrs. Doubtfire), nothing beats this.
Daniel Craig: Casino Royale. In addition to my #1 Bond film, one of my favorite films of all time. Knives Out, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Defiance, Munich I liked too beyond his role of Bond.

So yeah, as expected, almost all Bond films with the exception of Connery. Some of these actors did some really cool things outside of Bond, but generally speaking, few other things have more rewatchability and pure fun value than James Bond films, so I'm biased! All these guys are James Bond to me first and foremost.

That & Highlander were high on my list, but both don't STAR him... Outland is HIS movie all the way.

Yes, wonderful chemistry with dry humor to it.

Peter Boyle is fantastic in this one too, playing a very down-to-earth bad guy, who tries to be amiable to Connery but ends up coming across as unpleasant. I like that meeting scene in which Sheppard welcomes O'Niel and his comments about how to treat the workers start to have this subtly domineering, threatening edge to them.

James B. Sikking has a good role in the film as well. He also worked with Peter Hyams in Narrow Margin, in which he has a nice conversation scene with Gene Hackman. IIRC he was also in Sudden Death.

And the mining colony is wonderful to look at. Between the set design and the people walking around, it feels like a living, breathing place, with dorms, nightclubs, offices, etc.

The DVD was literally THE worst DVD ever produced. The Blu-Ray is excellent.

Unfortunately, I have that DVD. Non-anamorphic, fairly grainy. I think there is even some aliasing embedded into the image.

I used to watch the totally crappy full frame, because at least it didn't insanely VIBRATE the image like the widescreen one did!!! The blu-ray was like a heavenly gift...

I'm asking because I saw November Man, didn't love it, and I really want to check out The Foreigner.

Okay, The Foreigner was a better movie than November Man, but that's only because Martin Campbell was the director. IMO.

I enjoyed The November Man, it's a good one, but The Foreigner is better. One hell of a film, in my opinion. Became an instant favorite when I first watched it. Can't recommend it enough.

I love After the Sunset too. "Max, I'd like you to meet...... STAN'S MOM!" :))

This thread has caused me to now pop in my Blu-ray of THE NOVEMBER MAN.
I am enjoying it thoroughly. Pierce is great here and Olga is as wonderful as always.
This may replace THE FOURTH PROTOCOL as my favorite Brosnan epic.

Oh how remiss of me to forget in an earlier post- a few other favorites:

    Barry Nelson:

THE MAN WITH MY FACE (1951)

    David Niven:

THE BISHOP'S WIFE (1947) tied with THE DAWN PATROL (1938).
