I gotta come in on the early fortification for my boy. I'm not cruel enough to put Kristatos on life support this quickly.

I’m sorry but english is just my second language. What does this mean? I believe it’s some kind of english saying. Goldfingers introduction is walking down the stairs at the miami hotel poolside right?

It's talking about the rigged card game that Bond thwarts.

It was technically Tuesday when the game started (and when I voted) here in Canada... do I vote again now, then?

I planned for the game to begin on Wednesday. I think you must be in that one sliver of the world where it was still Tuesday. ;)

But for anyone in Australia or wherever else Wednesday was virtually over when the game began, feel free to take your Wednesday vote now.

I can hardly believe I'm giving points to DAF here, but this is probably the best scene in the whole film and a very respectable and memorable villain intro in my book. Carver's intro scene is pretty good too. I would have upvoted his if not for the early beating DAF is taking!

Yes!! I was thinking that too, probably the one redeeming thing about DAF for me is this scene.

Trevelyan is a little "Silva before Silva" for me, and the music is one of the best tracks in the whole franchise, IMO.
It was my first ever villain reveal, and it made me think Bond did indeed deal in the supernatural, and that he actually did come back from the dead! :))

Surprised Trevelyan's intro in this game isn't in the beginning in Arkhangelsk, on par with the likes of Koskov, Kristatos (before we know they're bad) etc.

We considered some of these points in the "So you want to start an elimination game?" thread. You have a point about the comparisons to Kristatos and Koskov, but I can't recall a particularly memorable "intro" scene for either of those two once their villainy has been revealed. The other difference with Trevelyan (as with Graves) is that he has assumed a new identity of sorts that's being revealed in his second appearance.

Am I the only one who thinks the Rome board meeting is actually one of the best parts of Spectre?

Definitely not, and in a vacuum the scene is great; I just can't separate it from the later Blofeld "reveal". This whole meeting with all the cinematic SPECTRE/Blofeld earmarks but, sure, I'll believe for the next 90 minutes that the guy running the meeting isn't Blofeld. Sours the whole scene for me.

Carver's first scene would be somewhere in the middle field for me. I like it. Crazy how unspectacular Kristatos' first scene is compared to the majority of the rest. (Altough, he wasn't shown as a villain there for a later twist). I love LALD but Kananga doesn't start with outstanding scenes at all.
