Hello, everyone, David here. I guess I postponed joining this site for a little. I stalked it for a little before signing up, but here I am. I don't always articulate my points all that well, but I hope you guys can bear with me.

I'm looking forward to talking and getting to know you lads.

Welcome! Good to have you! I have the same worry sometimes about articulating points, but it’ll be no problem here!

Thanks for making me feel better about my thoughts-to-words anxiety - haha. Good to know some people share the same fear. Thank you again, @NickTwentyTwo.

Hi everyone. I probably should have started out here first. I’ve always enjoyed this site, looked at it for years (ever since Casino Royale, I’m thinking). Maybe before. Anyways, I never read the forums, just content. Enjoy the movie ratings immensely, and always bragged about how CR 2006 has a 10 star rating. Great to be here and talking about Bond, etc. Not many Bond fans in my area, which is sad. Thanks for having such a great website where we can discuss Bond.

Well, hello everyone. You know, this is my first forum. A friend told me about it and I am excited very very excited to be here. I own every Bond book that is made. Own every Bond new one but I don’t have the new Bond movie the No Time to Die. I still ain’t seen it. Bond posters all over my house. I love all the Bond movies they are the best movies ever made. I watch them every day. I have wore out the old books. I am 62 years old and I ain’t the best with the internet but I am workin on it. I never seen so much stuff about James Bond in my life. It had to take years and years and years to make a site this big about the best hero in movies and that is 007 James Bond. I don’t know where to start but I think this is the right place. My nephew said he would help me learn this. Good to meet you all. I can not wait to watch the new movie No Time to Die. That Dan Craig sure knows how to play Bond. I was not able to watch at the local movie house but I shore ready to watch it. Been a 6 year wait and that is way way to long for me.

@007deve Welcome, always great to have another 'original' member here.

I would recommend staying away from the whole No Time to Die category.

Cool to see another Diamonds Are Forever fan too.

Hahahaha. Scarpine is one of my favorite villains ever. I always think of him trying to get that stick of dynamite Thunderfinger. He was going at it with Mortner. That is one of my favorite scenes. Bond fighting zorin and his bunch of crooks. Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Yes it is! I love it. But I love all the James Bond movies. There is not one that I don’t love.
  • Hello all.

The first time I remember seeing a Bond film was Die Another Day on TV while I walked through the living room back in 2003. I only watched for a couple of minutes before resuming my previous activity. Fast forward to 2007 and the same thing with Casino Royale. I watched the Madagascar chase but went to do something else after since I was on the younger side and enjoyed the big action scenes.

After that, I never really watched or read about Bond until 2018. I watched all of Brosnan's films and liked them. That interested me, and I decided to watch all 24 and had an absolute blast. Since then, James Bond has become my favorite franchise, and I still get that excitement even watching the same film for the umpteenth time. In October, I was able to go with my dad and see my first Bond film in theaters, and it's an experience I'll always cherish.

Welcome! Such a unique introduction to Bond!

It's amazing that it started with a passing introduction to DAD, to Bond becoming your favourite franchise!

I associated Bond with my dad as well, as it was a VHS of Goldeneye we rented from Blockbuster (and subsequently never returned; if that's why they're bankrupt now, our apologies!) that introduced me to the series. I was a fan right from that moment.

Thank you! Crazy right? Hard to believe my introduction to what would become my favorite series would be a glimpse of the film that's considered the worst by a large group!

That's a great story with your dad. I would wager that quite a few fans came to love the franchise because of one or both of their parents.

I spent a couple of hours yesterday trying to decide on a username. The "Stuff my orders, I only kill professionals" line may be my favorite in the series, so I decided on that. But then I spent a good thirty minutes deciding if I wanted to add the "S" or not even though Dalton says "kill"! I'm still debating myself over that one.
