Bond is back on ITV today, MI6.

It's the start of ITV1's last Bond season, as they lost the rights, so maybe they'll show all 22.

    Don't miss it.

I think they're doing the films in order, every Saturday.

I hope so but it can't be the case as Sky have the rights from 5th October.

It'a just the Connery and Moore films I would guess.

At least you've had the Brosnan's on ITV2.

Wish someone in the colonies would do that.

Actually I think ITV are entitled to show casino royale and quantum of solace after sky acquire the bond rights. These are the only 2 of the official films that ITV are holding onto, not sure when this will run out though.

As for showing the official bonds in order each saturday this is totally feasible.
    Dr no (12th may 2012)
    FRWL (19th may)
    GF (26th may)
    TB (2nd June)
    YOLT (9th June)
    OHMSS (16th June)
    DAF (23rd June)
    LALD (30th June)
    TMWTGG (7th July)
    TSWLM (14th July)
    MR (21st July)
    FYEO (28th July)
    OP (4th August)
    AVTAK (11th August)
    TLD (18th August)
    LTK (25th august)
    GE (1st september)
    TND (8th september)
    TWINE (15th September)
    DAD (22nd September)
    CR (29th September)
    QOS (6th October)

Ties in perfectly at the end with the 50th anniversary of Dr No. It's a missed opportunity if ITV can't give the fans one final swansong of the films.

I haven't heard of ITV holding onto the rights to the last two films. As far as I'm aware they lose the rights to the entire series in August before Sky start showing them in October. By showing them, I mean giving their customers access to watch them.

It seems ITV are running two parallel tracks with Connery and Brosnan right now. They won't be in order, but they'll squeeze all of them out by the time they lose the rights to Sky.

Paxo just stated MGW will be on Newsnight on Thursday, discussing how Bond reflects changing Britain. Sounds like a blatant marketing stunt, but might include some interesting footage of SF. I guess that means UK BBC 2 at about 10.30 on Thursday 31st May.

Programme: John Barry - The Lost Tapes
    Channel: BBC Radio 4 (UK)
    Date: Tuesday 26th June 2012

Eddi Fiegel explores the music of John Barry, drawing on a previously lost interview which gives a revealing insight into the British composer’s early film career and songwriting processes.

John Barry, who passed away last year, was best known for his scores for the early James Bond films, as well as Midnight Cowboy, Out of Africa and Dances With Wolves.

The winner of five Oscars, Barry was a private man - but in John Barry: The Lost Tapes Eddi Fiegal provides a revealing insight into his working life.
