It was a good watch, indeed the greatest supervillain of all time.

I love everything about that trailer except for Pattinson in that suit. I can't shake the cosplay thought from my mind. Other than that, pretty awesome.[/quote

That being said, the casting is throwing me. There isn't a bad actor in there, but some of them I simply just don't see as the characters. Colin Farrell being a prime example - was there nobody that fit the middle aged, overweight, and balding description?

I quite agree, it seems like stunt casting having Colin Farrell with heavy make up in this role, makes no sense.

I think it's an issue with making more 'realistic' movies like the Nolans: the more normal the world he lives in the more insane and slightly worrying he becomes, even if the director tries to convince you he isn't. It's where I think Burton got it right: if you place him in a very stylised world then the character is easier to swallow (although of course Burton leant on him being brooding and troubled too).

I think you hit the nail on the head. When presented in a 'real' world scenario, the guy comes across as nuts as the Villains. Even if he is trying to do the right thing. This was well touched on in TDK, particulary in the scene in the interrogation room. The Joker literally spells it out for him.

Have to say I was very impressed with "The Batman" trailer. Pattinson may just pull it off?

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Daniel Craig is my choice to play him.

We’ll see, I would like a Jason Todd or Lex Luthor or even a Brainiac movie. I would be more interested in these other characters being adapted over a Joker sequel.

Batman is being pushed due to production shutdowns. This doesn’t impact NTTD thankfully.

New photos from the set from The Batman...

I really like Pattinson's casting (I'm still furious that WB got him first before Eon). However, I'm confused by his Bruce Wayne. Something just seems wrong. I got the impression that the hair we saw in the trailer was perhaps because of the weather (maybe it was damp from rain or something), but it actually just looks as though he has this dramatic side fringe.

I'm not entirely certain whether he looks the part. He looks a bit like that kid from the poster from Angela's Ashes who has grown-up to haunt my nightmares (I never saw that film, but that poster frightened me as a kid and left a serious impression)

It's kinda bugging me...I know hair isn't that big a deal. I mean, I wasn't a fan of Daniel's CR hair when he's in the tuxedo. But this choice for Pattinson just seems baffling, especially after how convincingly cool and sexy he was in Tenet. They have tried to give him Timothee Chalamet hair.....Why not just hire Chalamet? he'd be a great young Batman.

Meanwhile, Zoe Kravitz looks damn good as Catwoman........

Pattinson! Quit this film and join Bond!

Love the images! And I personally really like the look, while it's not the more sophisticated, playboy look that Bruce Wayne usually has, I think the look shows you all need to know what kind of place he's in.

And yes, Kravitz looks great :)

Everytime I see Pattinson with that mop of hair I can't help but think of Tobey Maguire doing his dance in Spider-Man 3.

Not keen on the look they have gone with for Bruce though it is what it is, I will remain open minded until I have seen the film.

True. And it's a sort of gothic style of hair that film characters usually have, when they behave a bit psychotic or are demented.

I'm sure it won't even enter my mind when I am actually watching The Batman, but I struggle with it when looking at the BTS stills.

Kravitz's coat instantly made me think of the one Pheiffer's Kyle used to make her own suit.

Yeah, BTS are usually misleading....since there are no camera angles or colour grading seen to make it look cinematic, compared to the finished film. I think that's why fans aren't convinced about an actor, until the film is done and they see it.

I thought that Pattison was one of the saving graces of the Nolan TENET vehicle.

Not surprising. This is why I feel that WB/DC should have gone with Zack Snyder from the start, he's always too controversial. Time for Superman to get some of his villains (Metallo and Brainiac in particular) on the big screen!

I have heard we might get a Batman beyond film with Keaton honestly him and Tom Holland would be fantastic as Bruce Wayne and terry McGinnis respectfully

Let’s get someone unknown for Terry McGinnis. Tom Holland is already Spider-Man, and he’s about to become overexposed.
