    Wow, where from?

It's from Billie Eilish official video song, just before bond turn around and saw Madeline.

Maybe it's because he manages to kill the guards but Safin escapes? Who knows...

Not a new image, but first time I see it used on a promotional poster :

Strange, is he in character in that photo? Looks like a BTS shot.

This shot has me most intrigued. This obviously happens right after he and Safin have their little face to face meeting. “History isn’t kind to men who play God.”

I’m hoping he’s looking pissed off because Safin escaped. If Safin takes his own life, that’ll be quite anticlimactic given how much they’ve hyped his character.

It may not be suicide but the killing of an important character by Safin. Maybe it has been discussed behind spoiler tags, but another agent comes to mind.

    What if saffin
    Killed Blofeld in that shot?

I would kind of be Annoyed by that and here is why

this would mean Craig's bond is really the most pacifist

    Casino Royale
Le Chiffe is killed by Mr. White
    Quantum of Solace
Dominic Green is killed by Quantum (I mean sure bond didn't help but still)
    Skyfall
Bond finally kills the main bad guy
    Spectre
Blofeld Lives to die another day

so out of his first 4 films he has killed the main villain only once

Hence the dead on the floor, and with Swann turning away saying "Oh, FFS James.."

    :))

I don’t know about that, because said agent still has to get Madeline to safety on a rib boat.

    Unless...
...these hints of cloning are true, and Safin has cloned himself. Remember, Safin doesn't seem to have aged since he tried to get Madeleine as a child, so what if that Safin is the original and he eventually tried to clone himself, unsuccessfully maybe, until the one who is around during the present events of the film, and then maybe reveals another clone or the original Safin, when that clone kills himself in front of Bond. A bit out there, but might be an idea of what's going on.

The other thing I'm wondering though is why Bond is angry if Safin does indeed kill himself Does he need Safin alive for some reason?

    But that doesn't mean
Bond won't be Killing saffin, we know Blofeld had never died in the series, bond won't kill him anyway, but his death might be interesting, as we don't know how bond would react to it?

That'd be my guess: he's launched something or has something very crucial to Bond saving the day, and with him "killing himself" or perhaps a clone, Bond is enraged, thinking he's lost.

Weren’t there early reports stating how the villain of NTTD was supposed to die a pretty gruesome death? Or was this pre Fukunaga taking over??

Is that Mads in the background?
He's discovered Nomi is dead? Have we seen any shots of her after the "bunker raid"?

Maybe Safin kills himself and Bond is pissed by that. Remember Safin is half Japanese so a kind of harakiri would make sense. Bond is looking a little bit down like someone is lying on the floor. Perhaps Safin was the only one able to stop his worldwide master plan goin live, forcing Bond to a suicide attempt in order to save the world. On the other hand Bond meets Safin later on as well, down those underground tunnels (we see Safin pointing the gun at someone), so maybe he successfully cloned himself.

    I wondered this too.

I'm also aware of this image, with Safin looking a little more dishevelled than other images...

I have been wondering this myself. I really don't want this to be the case, but it is definitely possible... and that Bond's response in that photo is akin to Bond learning he killed the wrong Blofeld in DAF. There is some history with Bonds and duality. The twins in OP also come to mind.

This image in particular has me perplexed. This MUST come after he & Bond have their face to face meeting. Who else would he be pointing the gun at besides Bond?

    @DonnyDB5 @Denbigh

Could he be pointing at Swann on the ground, maybe she's crying, scared?

And in comes Bond, fighting begins 007 vs Safin while Swann escapes out to Nomi/girl/rib boat and not knowing Bond's fate?

What if Safin's "I've made you redundant" line to Bond is his final line before he "dies" by his own hand?

It's possible @Contraband, although we know (I think) that Bond accompanies Madeleine to the boat. So I think it's gonna be a situation where Madeleine, and even Nomi, try to get Bond to get on the boat with them, but he decides to go back for some reason. Maybe to get Safin or stop the plot...

...which makes me think, they wouldn't try to leave if the plot wasn't stopped, or at least Nomi wouldn't, so Bond has to go back for Safin surely? Maybe the image above is that final interaction as opposed to before Madeleine leaves.

Yeah, perhaps you're right about Swann and Bond. Just come to think of the brief shot with them two near the glider area (I think) from Ellish music video. That might give us a hint of the timeline

Yeah, I also noticed that Bond has his jumper when he spots her, but doesn't when she leaves, so either some action ensues between those scenes or Bond gives it to you know who ;)
