    I would love to see Roman reigns as a henchman in a future Bond movie. Bond already has experience fighting Samoan pro wrestlers in movies.

    Ok maybe things are not that bad but seriously this has shown why films should try and stick to their original release dates because you never know when a pandemic is coming had this film been out in 2019 we would of had a delayed dvd release likely but beyond that we would have no issues

    I did really like him opposite Andrea Riseborough in Brighton Rock, but like some others, I think he may be better suited to a villainous role @ImpertinentGoon :)

    I could see him as an ally, but not Bond himself. I just think he looks too...clean. I don't buy him as the tough, blunt instrument that is 007. But I haven't any experience with Riley beyond the photo, so I could very well be wrong.

    While I'm not sure he's good for Bond, you guys should definitely check him out in Brighton Rock with Andrea Riseborough, who would be a great Bond girl or villain.

    I don't have the editing skills but a similar compilation done to the Bond theme for the more regular suggestions on this thread would be very interesting.
    Kind of like our own screen test reel, anyone up for making that?

    Those eyes are a bit on the crazy side, worse than Dornan's, I think.

    Given the new delay can we all agree 1)that the rumour regarding Tom Hardy just went up in smoke (not that it had any leg to begin with) and 2)that most if not all of the people mentioned here have less and less chances to get it.

    A few people were talking in work today about Cavill being perfect for Bond, and I don't know what it is I just don't understand it. Sure he is a handsome man, who has the right physicality for the role but no offence the guy is a huge step down from Craig as an actor and he has close to nothing in screen presence. I think it would be a huge step down for the series. He would be an okay cinematic Bond (in the style of Brosnan or even Sir Roger) but he wouldn't bring the character to life on screen, with the rich layers of contradictions and believability that say Connery, Dalton and Craig have all brought to the role. Which I think as the series has evolved since Casino the character deserves

    I mean I've sort of resigned myself to the fact that whoever is chosen next will be a bit of a step down from Craig (at least for me) but surely they have to look further than the obvious easy choice?

    Cavill won't be Bond but I think he has plenty of presence. He doesn't have much emotional range as an actor, for sure, but he does have presence on screen. It's why I think he has been (for me, at least) or surely could be the best Superman if they wrote a script that played to his strengths as a performer. It's why he was good in The Witcher, and why people liked him in Mission Impossible: Fallout. He's also generally a likeable dude too, which helps.

    For Bond though, no. I'm not sure it's enough. I often wonder what he would have been like as Bond, but I think Craig has spoiled us a little bit and we will want someone close in ability to him as an actor.

    I have nothing against him as an actor or more importantly as a person, I just struggle to understand how people see him as this Bond in waiting.
    You make a great point though mate and I agree I thought he was great in MI Fallout
