Pierce Brosnan to star in sci-fi thriller 'Youth'.

The project is set is in a future not far from now. "Renewal" has become the world’s hottest (and most expensive) commodity — a procedure to rewind your body’s biological clock back to its prime. Joel (Brosnan), an ad-tech engineer, is about to retire at age 70, after a lengthy career. Not wanting to lose him, his company pays for him and his wife Alice to Renew — a luxury promising a second chance.

I must admit, I had a really good viewing of GE tonight and Brozza stood out more than I remembered from my last viewing.

Apart from the scenes with Joe Don Baker and Robbie Coltrane which I find excruciating, this is a solid 007 debut for Brosnan.

I know @Mathis1 I don't know what's come over me! Maybe I'll be alright in a couple of days... 😆

I will admit still giving all of Brossas (bar DAD!)
a watch, and a chance. But its such a struggle.
GE popularity baffles me. It has the most annoying set of characters (including Bond!!)
    And its such a bore!
I probably shouldnt be in this thread with that statement!! I'll quietly exit!

Brosnan is probably my least favourite James Bond, and for a long time I've given him a lot of the blame for that.
But I've come to realize that he was at odds with that the producers wanted at the time. While it seems Brosnan was eager to portray a more human, realistic Bond, they thought the public longed for superficial, by-the-numbers Bond stories with stupid humour. Additionally, I think his performances got better as his films got worse - such a shame.

I have seen Brosnan in other films and liked him much more than in his Bond pictures; quite annoying, honestly.
Having seen "The November Man", you still can't convince me Brosnan could work as an assassin, but I can understand he at least deserved a good final outing as Bond. Not an exit with the dialogue: "I'm so good..." - "Especially when you're bad!".

Brosnan also may have had the best delivery of: "Shaken, not stirred".

I certainly wouldn’t rank Brosnan as the worst Bond. That honor belongs to Lazenby.

Is there really anything like Worst Bond?...I certainly don't think of it that way though. I think they're all unique in their own way, even if we all have our favourite Bonds. Worst Bond film?...Yeah, Maybe. But I don't know about Worst Bond though.

Brosnan looks like he is talking from under the sea, thanks to that painting behind him.

In all seriousness however, it is such a joy to see Brosnan visibly enjoy life to the fullest.

I watched Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga last night. It's quite something.

In most of that film he's just drinking at a pub, with an expression that says "please kill me, let it end".

I have to say though, Brosnan looks ridiculously good for his age. At one point he'll have to confirm his aging process isn't human.

Can't say I've ever thought of Brosnan as being particularly handsome, but hot damn, he really was something in Eurovision. The fisherman look really suits him.

Loved his outfits in the film to. I hope he kept some!

He has worked with Tennessee Williams, Robin Williams – and, controversially, Roman Polanski. The former 007 discusses fatherhood, family and the lonely childhood that shaped him

Here's a fun souvenir: why not buy yourself Pierce's old house in Malibu? Apparently inspired by the Thai buildings he saw when shooting Tomorrow Never Dies no less, so a fun Bond connection there! A snip at $100 million:

Goes to show the guy's got taste! Thing is, I'm slightly short on 100 mil.... Anyone who can borrow me a bit (like the full amount)? Will pay it back in tranches.....
