Having a difficult time choosing between Kerim Bey and Mathis. I will have to flip a coin...

Looks like Kerim Bey gets my vote.

    René Mathis.

He's my favorite from the books and he is SO well done in different ways for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

And the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long. As with Kerim Bey.

Kerim Bey- he's the one I always immediately think of. Such a warm and likeable presence. The others are great, but with the exception of Saunders, I think they all tried to do a Kerim Bey again.

I'm gonna go with the oddball choice and say Milos Columbo. The energy Topol brings to his scenes is amazing to watch, and he's a very effective ally to Bond during the assault on St. Cyril's. My other favourites are Kerim Bey, and Draco.

@thedove I didn't use Kerim Bey in my Weekly Bond poll so far, because I'm pretty sure he will be the obvious choice. Nevertheless, your nominees are chosen wisely.

All five are very good, I love Colombo but Kerim is the winner.

Definitely Marc-Ange Draco. Fantastic actor and a great character with surplus charisma.
Unique role within the series as well.

100% agree. Just imagine if we got him in a Lazenby - Savalas follow up... what could have been. :'(

Kerim Bey gets my vote on this one. Start to finish, just a perfect companion to Bond. Pedro's charisma brings the character from the book to life perfectly.
I do think the Bondies academy and board of directors snubbed Tiger Tanaka. I jest of course, it is very hard to narrow down to five nominations!

Can I write in the TND version of Jack Wade with his Hawaiian shirt and floppy hat?

Kidding- Kerim Bey for me. It's awful to hear how sick he was during filming.

Yes @MooseWithFleas I decided to go with short lists to make it tougher to pick and to also save some characters for future categories. It's funny @Last_Rat_Standing I was trying to get one ally for each Bond but I didn't think Wade was quite up there.

Great first run at this! Excellent choices for you all.

    Kerim Bay.

JB: All I want is the lektor.
KB: Is that all you want?
    JB: Well…….
    JB,KB: (Laughter)

The above scene is one of my favorite parts of FRWL as it really underscores the respect and affection that Bond and Kerim have for each other. Another would be the scene where Karim tells Bond why he “stays in this crazy business.” Great stuff. And – as much as I’ve enjoyed the Craig era – I miss stuff like this.

Looks like the Mi6 community has spoken the best male supporting ally role goes to Kerim Bey in From Russia With Love!n (applause!)

For our next category we shall move on from the best to the worst. Worst male ally in a supporting role. The nominees are:
    • Jack Terry as Felix Leiter in TLD
    • Norman Burton as Felix Leiter in DAF
    • John Moreno as Luigi in FYEO
    • David Yip as Chuck Lee in AVTAK

Norman Burton by far. The poorest excuse for a Felix. At least John Terry's was a very small scene although very poor as well.

Personally, I love how Norman Burton is annoyed by Bond's shenanigans.

I have to vote for John Terry.

I'll vote for Burton. I don't like his kinda "by the book" style, and moreover he ends up looking dumb.

Neither of my true choices were nominated.

I'd have to write in Tiger Tanaka(YOLT) for best and Jack Wade(TND version) for worst.

Toss up between the two Felix's. I might have to give it to John Terry. While neither actor is particularly memorable, Burton's Felix is given a memorable role, while Terry isn't very good in my opinion, and leaves no impression at all due to his lack of screen time.

What ? No lieutenant Hip (from TMWTGG) ? The man who managed to leave Bond behind, leéaving him to the tender mercies of a whole karate school ?

All good choices but I'll have to go with Draco and Terry's Leiter.

Controversially, I have to say Rik Van Nutter is one of the worst Leiters, despite looking the part. He's as wooden as Jack Lord.

John Terry for worst supporting Ally for me. Though that's based on my least favorite, I wonder which ally would truly be the least helpful or most harmful to Bonds efforts

For Best Ally, I would have gone for Saunders, though the others are phenomenal as well.

Worst one has to be Norman Burton. I'd never pick Luigi, I love that guy. Looks like a genuinely nice person.

I've never found Burton all that bad, he does 'avuncular' well enough I think. Luigi is a comedy character and played as such, could have been more memorable but he's not terrible. I don't think the poor guy is helped by never being allowed to take off his sunnies. David Yip can't do the accent to save his life but he's still quite likeable, although why 'Chuck Lee CIA' (for that is his name) chooses to sell crabs instead of investigating anything I'm not quite sure.

So it's got to be John Terry glory-hunting the award for the blandest bit of screen acting in the Bond movies (and that's quite an achievement next to most of the incredibly dull actors they've had playing Felix).

I think the only actually good Felixes have been Hedison and Wright. Cec Linder was probably the runner-up in Goldfinger but I still didn't really believe James and him knew each other. The other ones have ranged from 'fine' to 'bad'.

NSNA's Bernie Casey made more of an impact than most of the official ones, much better.

Interesting he never turned up in the Brosnan movies, perhaps a hint that they took place in the same continuity as the Dalton films.
