This is a damn difficult QTC here and I thought it was all manner of characters but no definite figure, another clue would be much appreciated etc
I'd better have a shot in the dark here and I've really been thinking about this
Is it that annoying man who got everywhere in the series almost, the one in The Spy Who Loved Me, when he and Moore set the subs to destroy each other etc, I don't know the character name, Commander Carter possibly, it was worth a try

Thought it was worth a shot. Pun intended
To quote wikipedia - a plot device in the form of some goal, desired object, or other motivator that the protagonist (and sometimes the antagonist) is willing to do and sacrifice almost anything to pursue, often with little or no narrative explanation as to why it is considered so desirable
I'll have a shot at Mister Ling from Goldfinger, I did have some other ideas but you're only allowed one guess per time etc
Another clue would be appreciated as this is damn difficult actually

How about the guy in Diamionds, one of a trio that throws Lana Wood out of the apartment window, his real name was Marc Lawrence, but don't know the characters name, it was worth a try
