I imagine Nick Nack is still in the crow's nest just like Whisper is still inside that heroin canister. Similar fates in those two consecutive Bond films when you think about it.

As mentioned previously in my Jaws entry, after Nick Nick’s failed attempt at acting in The Addams Family reboot, he found his acting work completely drying up after half a dozen adverts for breakfast cereals, children’s toys and disposable nappies.

He thought his career was over and he was doomed to live a destitute life until he discovered the latest entertainment craze: escape rooms.

Well, Nick Nack had PLENTY of experience in designing fiendishly difficult, elaborate and lethal funhouses for Scaramanga, and immediately set to work putting such talent to good use in setting up his own escape room business for unsuspecting thrill-seeking members of the public. Such was the runaway success that within 12 months, ‘Nick Nick’s Escape Shacks’ was the leader in the market turning the multi-talented midget into a multi-millionaire.

To this day no-one seems to have noticed that for every 100 members of the public who go into one of his ingenious escape rooms, only 99 come out....

Oh I love that one @Max_The_Parrot I can see him running something that looks innocent but lurking underneath is evil! I wonder if he coerces Mi6 to hold their Christmas party there. :)

Lets turn our light to a Bond leading lady! When you think about it all the leading ladies have lived at the end of the adventure. What became of their lives after having James Bond as a lover and ally?

Lets look at Triple XXX Anya Amasova. Obviously her and James didn't keep the relationship after the Stromberg mission. But have you ever wondered what happened to Anya Amasova? Did she defect or did she stay in Russia? Did her and Bond ever cross paths again? What ever happened to Agent Triple X Major Anya Amasova?

The novelization seems to imply that Anya defected after Stromberg was eliminated. She probably stayed with Bond for some time until she could find a more suitable place to live.

I wish that the TSWLM novelization was still in print. Anya hopefully lighten up a bit.

On further examination of the latest mission the KGB realized, like they should have gass ago, that Anya is basically useless as an agent. She was immediately reasigned for a desk job. She ended up marrying a high level Soviet diplomat, and they had many small comrades together.

Following on from @Gerard’s mention of Anya defecting to the West, after a brief period of leave with Bond to ‘keep the British end up’, Anya needed a convincing new cover to allow her to live in England without attracting suspicion. Several meetings with M later, she assumed a new identity as Barbara Bach and became an actress in various movies. Learning her lines was a difficult task that took up so much of her time that she was useless to MI6. She therefore gave up the acting lark (many thought she was too wooden anyway) and instead married Ringo Starr, former drummer of The Beatles who had also been recruited by MI6 to act as a ‘black ops’ assassin. By day, they live the life of respectable multi-millionaire showbiz aristocracy. By night they travel the world on ‘eyes only’ assignments for Her Majesty.

Defected. Married a Beatle (as protection from the KGB--they're all big fans). Tried acting, made some cheesy comedies and slasher films. And generally enjoyed a life of Western decadence.

Anya Amasova went on to be a honey trap for James Callaghan, securing the win for Thatcher the Russian asset.

@Max_The_Parrot and @RichardTheBruce have beaten me to the punch.

After her stint with the KGB, Anya moved to St. Petersburg where she meet the ex-drummer of a rock group called – “The Commissars”. Their eventual wedding made the front cover of “Soviet Life” as each of his (surviving) bandmates attended and played such standards as “Lenin Loves You “ and “Back in the USA.”

BTW: We never hear from the lovely Ms. Bach anymore about her time as Bond, even though (I think) she and Ringo lived very close to Roger Moore.

[I didn't see @Max_The_Parrot's excellent post before a made my own. We were definitely going down the same road, @Dwayne.]

Don’t worry @RichardTheBruce it was worth it for the photo of lovely Barbara (of course when on a mission she wears a balaclava!) ☺️

Great responses so far! I think Anya defected to the UK. But she found life to be rather boring and uneventful. So she decided to become an agent for hire. She soon found more work and hired Ivan and Boris who had helped her out at the pyramids. They then took their agency to Hollywood and protected the stars of LA. It was there they met up with Jaws who was starring in a Adam Sandler movie! They all enjoyed a laugh and a bite! LOL!

I think I read Amasova was written to appear in a subsequent film--was it OP?

There were rumours of bringing her back for AVTAK playing the part of Ivana(?) with the hot tub. But I am not sure how true they were.

My turn : The James Bond Qustions thread pushed me to ask myself : whatever happened to Zamora, the Gorilla Lady from DAF ? Well, after a while, she resigned from her role in the Circus Circus casino in Las Vegas, and decided to jump on the Blaxploitation bandwagon in Hollywood. Alas, her past as a circus artist followed her there, and she soon became cast in parts that were reminiscent of what she had done before, and not even credited for them. Nobody knows that the 1976 version of King Kong was in fact a woman. She tried her luck in Hong Kong, but the same thing happened, and the only part she was able to play was The Mighty Peking Man (or should I say woman ?). Even her parti in Gorillas in the Mist failed to give her any notification, and even less an Oscar. Now retired from acting, she works at a local zoo.

I heard rumours @Gerard that she worked closely with Andy Serikis on the Planet of Ape trilogy but I couldn't find evidence of it. :)

Her handler also had to stay with her for he controlled the device to bring her from one world to the next!

Zamora became a luxury prostitute, serving high ranking politicians and intelligence seniors in Washington.

Zamora’s act became increasingly popular at Circus Circus, drawing ever larger crowds that crammed themselves into the small attraction making a healthy profit for all concerned. Alas, one day the terrifying performance resulted in an unexpected stampede of screaming children running from the booth, and in the confusion little Johnny from Minnesota was tragically crushed to death. Overcome with grief, Johnny’s alcoholic gun-toting daddy confronted Zamora in a darkened alley one night, and in the ensuing fight Zamora (in her gorilla state) was shot and killed outright.

Ironically, Zamora’s story doesn’t end here - such was her fame that she was stuffed and put on display in Shady Tree’s World of the Weird exhibition for many years, before finally being sold to Octopussy’s circus where the stuffing was removed to create a gorilla suit.

Bond never had the chance to seduce Zamora in Las Vegas, but he did find himself inside her several years later ....

Time to jump ahead a few years. This next "whatever happened to" is sure to strike a nerve with figure skating fans! Bibi Dahl who was coached by Jacoba Brink and managed by Columbo. She was set to be on the medal podium but it never happened. She had fans as bell boys and had a crush on Erik Kriegler. Last seen at St. Cyrils nursing her new manager to health.

What say you Mi6...whatever happened to Bibi Dahl?

Well, after her sports career, she became a lingerie model for a brand of nightwear bearing her name. Everybody knows about the "Bibi Dahls".

I must admit the word association Baby Doll/Bibi Dahl never occurred to me before I started wondering about the picture you linked to. But now I'm pretty sure that the name Bibi Dahl was chosen for that exact reason.

Lingerie? I thought she preferred towels. :) Yes when you say the full name you do get a sense that Wilson and Maibaum were going for something subtly suggestive.

I always wondered if she went down the Tonya Harding road. Since she was obviously kept from the podium did she have it in her to club her rival?

Yes, and I believe it's mentioned as the source of the name in the Granddreams FYEO annual released to promote the film. It's actually a very good resource on the film with detailed interviews with the cast and crew. In that way it differs from most of the other Bond annuals [of the 1960s] which often had a majority of non-Bond and generic spy content.

Well, some recurring characters were saved a death from the series. In fact this character appeared in 6 Bond films and then just stopped appearing. I am talking about everyone's favourite Minister of Defence Freddie Gray. Friend to Hugo Drax, his guts were served as garters to the PM. He was there when Bond kept the British end up and when he attempted re-entry!

So what say you Mi6 whatever happened to Sir Freddie Grey?
Sir Freddie Gray was turfed out of his job after Thatcher fell from power. Fed up with the UK he moved to the Bahamas and decided to write a tell-all memoir about his years in office. When the Ministry of Defence obtained a draft from the publisher, it ordered Sir Freddie to delete all sections violating the Official Secrets Act. Gray complied, but then leaked a copy of the original manuscript draft to the Daily Mail. Beside itself with rage, the Ministry of Defence ordered MI6 to make Sir Freddy retract his memoirs or else. And so James Bond was sent out to the Bahamas to face his old boss's boss. What happened next remains a mystery, as do the whereabouts of Sir Freddie...
