Most players are region free but you may want to look into that and check now, before it arrives. It helps a great deal, there are only three regions A, B and C.

You must have ordered from Amazon US. If it is not a multi-region DVD player you plan to play them on then it will not play them. Unless ofcourse it's specifically a Region 1 player you have, which one would probably only find in America or Canada where they have Region 1 DVD's.

It says so for the US description of the product. Nothing for other regions yet.
    I hadn't noticed. That's a nice think to do. I love it.
I don't see why they wouldn't do it for every region. I think we can safely assume the box itself will be the same.

I wish they'd leave three slots for Bond 23, 24 and 25 but one is good too.

That's a pretty good marketing trick. "Oh, there's a spot missing in your box. You better fill it with the newest movie". I'm all for it, though. Clever.

SuperHeroHype.com says the BOND 50 box set is coming on September 25!

And for the very first time, we have details on the bonus features!
    Bond 50 Blu-ray Set Coming September 25

Following the first trailer for Skyfall earlier today, it was announced that the "Bond 50" Blu-ray set will hit stores in the UK on September 24 and in North America on September 25. Here's the press release:

All the Bonds. All the girls. All the action. All in high-definition. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment mark James Bond’s monumental golden anniversary with the release of BOND 50, the complete Bond experience showcasing all 22 classic films on Blu-ray together for the first time ever, neatly packaged into one cool, sleek collectable box-set. The collection will be available beginning September 24 in the United Kingdom and September 25 in North America with additional international markets to follow that week. BOND 50 marks the debut of nine James Bond films previously unavailable in high definition Blu-ray and comes with a dossier of more than 122 hours of bonus features.

Set for release just prior to the theatrical premiere of SKYFALL, BOND 50 will offer a look at the latest Bond film through videoblogs shot with the cast and crew. The BOND 50 collection also provides two all-new pieces that spotlight the history of 007. “The World of Bond” takes a look at the style and attitude that is signature to Bond; pulling together the cars, the women, the villains and the music that have been a staple of these films for the past 50 years. “Being Bond” profiles the six distinguished actors that have had the honor of portraying 007.

Additional bonus content in the BOND 50 collection includes cast and crew commentaries, the behind-the-scenes making of each film, in-depth interviews with every actor that played Bond, a closer look at the exotic locations as shot on-the-set, the women of Bond, the villains of Bond, Bond’s cars and gadgets, music videos and much, much more!

    Special Features:

    · DISC TWENTY THREE – Bonus Material

o NEW – The World of Bond – the 007 films have a look, style and attitude that is signature Bond. From the cars, to the women, to the villains and even the music, Bond films stand apart. The World of Bond takes the viewer through the best of five decades worth of classic James Bond in one thrilling montage. The World of Bond showcases the fascinating and entertaining interplay among unforgettable moments of danger, seduction, adventure and a dash of that distinguished humor that fans have cherished from the beginning up until now. To add to the experience, The World of Bond featurette will also offer a Pop-Up Trivia option to challenge even the sharpest of fans with little known facts and interesting trivia from the Bond Universe.

o NEW – Being Bond – there’s only one James Bond – but he’s proven too much for only one actor to play the role. In the franchise’s 50-year run, six distinguished actors have taken on the part and secured a spot in cinematic history. Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig each reflect on the impact and importance of taking on such a famous role. With this piece, gain insight into what each actor brought to the character and discover how they shaped the world’s most timeless secret agent.

If this is true we will be getting the set earlier than we thought which is good but i just looked at a couple of my ultimate editions and i could be wrong but for the movies i looked at we will get less special features and nothing new apart from the bonus disc.

There's not much extra content at all, as was said a long time ago. One hour sounds about right.

And we'll get the first edition of Casino Royale, not the most recent one. No proper Quantum Of Solace either.

Ever since I became a fan of James Bond 10 years ago, I have dreamed of seeing blooper reels !!! Why can't they release the bloopers ??? I'm sure there must be plenty of banter between Connery/Llewelyn and Moore/Llewelyn !!!

Thats all they can be bothered to do for the 50th? Two cobbled together docs featuring stuff that probably figures in the extras from all the other discs and a few SF adverts?

Pathetic. If they hadnt made such a pigs ear of the blu ray releases in the first place I'd have them all by now and wouldnt need to bother with this. Look how poor the CR disc is FFS when we've got the brilliant 2 disc special edition.

And QOS? I can understand DN and FRWL not having much but nowadays filming DVD extras takes up a whole separate film unit. Youre not telling me that theres not loads of QOS special features in the archive. The Guy Haines scene at the end for one.

A very lazy and unimaginative effort but then I'm hardly surprised.

I'm sure ITV will do some docs in celebration that are better than these lame - and lets not beat around the bush here - token efforts. Theyve bascially realised they cant get away with just a 22 disc set so theyve thrown in this 'bonus disc' at the last minute. Youre not telling me that 'Being Bond is going to feature anything but archive stuff from Sean. It will be 70% Daniel fullfilling his contractual obligations, maybe 5 minutes of new stuff from Rog and Tim and some old rehashed footage of Sean, Pierce and George.

It's a big day for Bond. The SKYFALL trailer was revealed this morning, then in Cannes this evening Bérénice Marlohe (Severine) will introduce the first public screening of the trailer at the Salle BUNUEL in the Palais de Festival (5th Floor). Soon afterwards Martine Beswicke will introduce a screening of FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. Martine played Zora in FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE and Paula in THUNDERBALL. .Then very soon we will be revealing exciting news about the incredible Bond 50 On Blu-ray box set

Is it the information that already has been revealed that they are going to reveal?

The features for CR and QOS are stipped to the bone.

Could this mean a new standalone release of those films in 'Uber Edition'?

For instance, Marc Forster did a directors commentary track that was never released...

I hope they release QoS on Deluxe Edition like they did with CR. And if they do, then i hope we will get more info about that in the summer.
And if not, then it is really bad from EoNs side...

They should take it apart, clip by clip, and do a completely new edit, with longer cuts, so you can actually see what is going on.

The extra space is something but you'd think room would be left for more than one film, everyone knows Bond will keep on going.

There's never a right time to buy the Bond films, so one just has to decide the right time to take the plunge.

I guess they did it because it's the 50th anniversary box set and it should include every film of that period. It's a great idea, I'm so glad they're doing it.

I don't know. I only own five Bond films on blu-ray, I'm just not sure if I want to shell out $200 for this. I may just get the Bond films in the separate blu-ray cases over time, through deals. Will probably save me some money in the end.

I think the 50th is the right time, so in another 50, you only clog up shelf space (or hover space or whatever it is by then) with two sets :)

Why is the best film of the series (CR) so chopped down? Don't get me wrong, this is great, and I love seeing EON's effort in making this collection special, but come on. I would love to see deleted CR scenes like Bond and Vesper in the water and the same for QoS which got even further short-sided. I am interested to listen to the DAD commentary, so I'll have to suffer through that film again, and why does TND have over 9 hours of content?! Of all the films, I've got no idea. Ah well, I am excited though. And seeing a great variety of commentaries are cool, especially seeing ones with just Roger, which will be cool to listen too. He definitely has the dedication to do solo commentaries, and I respect him for that. Hopefully Sean and Dan have some commentaries that they were apart of, because I haven't heard one involving either yet.
