It is the only fake wedding...
But I try something else: the only movie where he drinks a stirred martini?

Again not the one I'm thinking of. I thought it would've gone off sooner.
    Keep guessing.

    Bond is never in London?

Good guess. But still no right.

Expanding on what @goldenswissroyale said, I think it’s the only film where Bond is never in the UK at all?

LTK would also fit the answer in that case. Sorry @Max_The_Parrot keep guessing.

Good grief you’re right, it’s not my day! 😝

    I forgot about LTK, too.
Next try: Bond's picture in the printed newspapers could be unique. I remeber articles shown on computers in the newer films but definitely not his picture in a printed newspaper.

Still not correct. I'll give a clue, think of something that Bond is famous for.

He never says Bond, James Bond?

There seem to be more one offs in YOLT than I realised.
Sorry to say it’s still not the one I’m looking for.

It is probably wrong anyway. I didn't think the last one through.
  • He doesn't wear a dinner jacket

He doesn't wear a dinner jacket

    And we have a winner!
Congratulations @Thepastykid you are indeed correct.
YOLT is the only Bond film in which we don’t see OO7 in a dinner jacket/tux.
    Over to you.

@Benny did Roger wear a tux in LALD?
  • goldenswissroyalegoldenswissroyale Switzerland

No, he didn't. I thought about the tuxedo statistics and YOLT isn't the only one. Definitely LALD, too, maybe even more (?). But it was a fun round anyway and I'm ready for the next game from @Thepastykid.

Sorry folks. I’m using a question from the JBR Boxing Day quiz.
    My apologies for this. 8-}

The JBR Boxing Day Quit is great stuff. I listened to the one from '17 and '18 but completely forgot about it recently. I have to check the newest out.

No worries @Benny just wanted to check LALD
  • Okay - what links Elliot Carver, Le Chiffre, Rene Mathis, Gareth Mallory?

I’m stumped, but just bumping it in case anyone else can flex their brain power?

Closest I can get is a Hannibal Lecter connection, as Mads Mikkelsen played him in the series, Giancarlo Giannini is Inspector Pazzi, Raplh Fiennes is Francis Dolarhyde, so that just leaves Jonathan Pryce... who hasn't appeared himself, but he is currently starring in The Two Popes with Anthony Hopkins.

    Any good?

    Sounds very good to me!
  • Tokoloshe2 is correct. Though the Pryce connection is the character of Carver - originally cast as Hopkins. Over to you!

Ah I knew Hopkins was offered the role of Alec Trevelyan, didn't realise he'd nearly been Carver too.

Hmm, now I have to think of a question...

If he is, I could perhaps post one question.

It's not up to me to decide, but it would be fine with me.

    All right, here goes :

Which famous british soldier received a tribute in one of Roger Moore's Bonds ?

A clue : Although the soldier is British, the tribute involved a Frenchman.

    That should be easy.
