Ana in only a cameo in this is going to disappoint a lot of people.
I'm looking forward to Knives Out, by the way.

So ... one more trailer before April, right?

I would assume his and Dencik’s characters are more minor since they didn’t make the trailer.

    Same her character seems intriguing.

The use of color in this film looks amazing. Such a sharp contrast to Skyfall & Spectre. The brief shot of the purple/blue water and the bright explosion in Cuba is incredible.

Also, I paused it at the shot of Safin looking over the frozen lake and it's definitely the girl under the ice, you can see her brightly colored coat. This means that whatever underwater stunt Bond does is not that. Maybe he crashes the SUV seen driving through the water evading the helicopter and ends up in a deeper part.

By far the most confusing part of the trailer is Safin in the same white jacket looking through the glass at Q's house or wherever that is. What the heck is going on there?

I think that might be an unintentional red herring as the glass on the door in Q's house is the same, but I'm presuming that shot of Safin behind the door is at the cabin by the lake.

Agree on the colours - it looks stunning. Fantastic trailer that doesn't give too much away which is nice. Still so many questions - Scientist? What role does Magnussen play in the story if Ana is also CIA? I'm struggling to even speculate how the 3rd act plays out. Bring on April!

You mean it's an error that they re-used that glass for two different sets? But yeah I just can't fathom why Safin would be wearing that jacket and mask in London.

Is Bond with the overalls in the tunnels and in the commando uniform in the same sequence?

Long post ahead, but hear me out & please tread carefully as I don’t know how to use spoiler tags...

I’ve rewatched the trailer quite a bit now. I think I might have figured out how part of the story plays out...

Blofeld says to Bond what I, at first thought was: “her secrets will be the death of you.” He actually says: “her secrets will be the death of HIM.” “Him” is Rami’s character, Safin I’m guessing.

What if much of the plot revolves around Safin’s operatives trying to capture/kill Madeline?

This is reinforced during the DB5 scene when the one dude with the machine gun approaches the car, he’s pointing his gun directly at Madeline’s window. Not Bond’s.

We know Léa is seen in the tan Land Cruiser in the Norway scenes. Perhaps she is kidnapped until Bond comes to the rescue and overtakes the driver of the Land Cruiser.

We then see Bond watching a helicopter fly away. Maybe after the Land Cruiser chase, they capture Madeline again & fly her away via chopper to Safin’s lair. Hence Bond & Nomi infiltrating Safin’s lair on a rescue mission.

I’ve only come to this conclusion from watching the trailer 1000 times today. I have a strong feeling about this. My only question is: how/why does Madeline wind up in Norway/Russia/whatever?

Yeah I just can't see how that would fit in - but you never know!

I also think the shot at the very end that evokes the Gunbarrel might be purely for the trailer. In the same way they had a shot of Craig looking directly at the camera at the poker table to close the the CR trailer

That's not Q's house. You can even see the snowy background behind Safin. If I had to guess, this is where Safin first approaches the cabin before everything goes down.

I just noticed something slowing down the video in the scene where nomi is shooting across the street it appears that there is a statue with a white mask. Wish I could post photos but it seems hard on here. And this too which is probably what we discussed. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.insider.com/details-you-missed-james-bond-no-time-to-die-trailer-2019-12

Spectre and or Safin must have stole from this place and how else they would get into this place it must be a mole in Mi6 apparently this was staged on the 007 stage https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Porton_Down

I think we'll get one for the Super Bowl which is pretty much exactly in between today and the release of the film, so that seems logical.

Anyone think q is the kidnapped scientist. It's not Paloma since she is now confirmed as a CIA agent.

Hmmm. You might be on to something there.

No I think it's a safe bet that it will be David Dencik, and we didn't see him in the trailer.

Maybe we did: if he is the one under water, in the frozen lake.

It was the girl in the frozen lake. If you pause it at the right time you can see the bright colors of her jacket under the ice.

Yep. I posted elsewhere that I finally saw the trailer in HD on a larger screen! It is the girl!
How do you guys know this is a flashback of a young Madeleine?

    We don't.

Apparently they held chemical and biological weapons.

more about porton down chemical weapons where a threat then they still are I wonder if EON got inspiration from events happening in the world. And maybe those chemical weapons attacks in the UK by sarin gas from Russia.

    Little review of the trailer:
-The cinematography seems to be the best of the franchise after Deakins's as everyone noticed
-Some aerial shots are really stunning,
-Many complain about the "soapy" aspect of the story but a domestic argument DURING an epic car chase i never seen this in any other films or in any episode of "Dallas" (and it's a VERY good idea, the psychological violence of the dispute is reflected by the real violence outside the car, very cinematic), and it's promising for how the dramatic aspect of the story will be treated,
-The story is more and more intriguing, and that's the real goal of a good trailer after all
-The cast looks awesome , Lynch and De Arma are rockstars
-Craig nails the role now, his tone is pitch perfect
-The funniest "Bond, James Bond" ever, looks like Waller-Bridge's humor will be quite something here...

The lowest point is that storywise it depends too much on previous episodes, the best Craig movies (CR and SF) work as stand alone movies, but may be it will be the case here or maybe Fukunaga finds a way to make it compelling wait and see...

Sorry to disappoint you, but i think it's actually you. I'm saying this because in the italian trailer it was translated as "sarà la fine per te" so it's you, not him

Best line from Cary through that interview-

"No Time To Die has no interest in escalating the spy movie arms race that has culminated in Tom Cruise flinging himself off tall buildings and throwing himself out of planes for the Mission: Impossible movies. "It was important to me to try not to think about what are we going to do that no one's ever seen before in Bond, rather than thinking about the action before the story," says Fukunaga. "I was really trying to approach it from the perils of the characters rather than Rube Goldberg-esque potentiality." Having said that, this is just a teaser. Don't blame us if, in the finished film, Bond freefalls from the Moon".

The stunts look fairly OTT to me but glad to hear he put the story first- which is what I expected from this director.

Free falling from the moon - think he's jist given MI8 it's signature stunt sequence.

Anyway. No need to bad mouth MI. The last 2 films in that franchise were IMO highly entertaining.

I don't think that's bad mouthing MI so much as saying they're not trying to emulate their approach, which has always been coming up with stunts then stringing them together with a plot. That's not a criticism, just how it's always been done on the M:I films.

i dont think that comment about Mission Impossible was from Cary - just an excerpt from whoever wrote the article(?) not sure if you caught that or not, i'll assume you did though..

This is certainly getting more positive attention than The Rise of Skywalker’s trailer is getting on the SW forums I occasionally read.

I'm very excited for TROS, but yeah that trailer was pretty basic. Now, that's fine for SW because they don't really need to sell that movie. But with NTTD being the first Bond in 4.5 years, the trailer had to make an impact and it did

I fail to see how Abrams is going to correct the mistakes of TLJ.

And tell us: WHO IS Snoke anyway? lol

Am not bothered about NTTD after watching the trailer multiple times. One thing that bothers me is how the score would sound like. A good score can further elevate a good film. Maybe if Newman scored SP with entirely fresh ideas & themes it could have at least helped the film. And also I think to be honest a rock theme song still retaining the bondian sound, would suit NTTD not a Ballad again. I just hope Romer gets the bond sound right. Coz one of the things that makes the bond franchise distinctive, is it's unique approach to music so it doesn't look like another action film.
